This is an intentional addition by SI, as per this post on their official forums. Doesn't seem like there's anything which can be done about this so far, unfortunately.

Even the flags from the squad selection screen?

Hi all, 
 

Is there some kind of bug looking at some players in the national team lineup? Ben Nink here (on the Lille squad screen) shows (top image) but on the Germany National team screen (bottom image) his face doesn't, what's going on?

 

Any help would be appreciated
