This was an issue on an older version. There's a rogue ID issue, go to:

…\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\BepInEx\plugins\CrowdInjectV3\Kits
At the bottom you should see a text file called “kit_mappings.txt” - Open it
Press CTRL+F and look for 1570 And you should see in the list a line that says: 1570: Scotland/St Mirren (attached screenshot)
Change the ‘St Mirren’ part to ‘Rangers’ (attached screenshot)
Save and restart the game.

i've noticed after just becoming Rangers FC manager in scotland and finally having some home games the rangers fans are wearing St Mirrens tops and not rangers apart from that everything else is perfect
