Just to confirm: all of the contract extensions have been reflected as expected. However, the SortItOutSI Data Update offsets everything by two years to account for the time that has passed in real-life.

 

The goal of the Data Update is to provide the football ecosystem of real-world Summer 2025 at the point of in-game Summer 2023. In the same way a player who has made a transfer in Summer 2025 is at their new team, in-game, in Summer 2023, so too are promotions/relegations done to reflect the real-world scenario.

 

To tackle the issue of that relative offset, the Data Update also offsets player DOBs and contract lengths by two years. So a player will be the age they are in real-life in Summer 2025 in-game in Summer 2023. A player with ‘one year left’ on their contract in real-life in Summer 2025 (i.e. a contract until Summer 2026), will have ‘one year left’ on their contract in-game in Summer 2023 (i.e. contract runs until Summer 2024).

I update the MediaFire link pretty often but I am not sure if it's updated here automatically or I have to do it manually. I did it manually yesterday for example but if someone can answer me if the link also updates here automatically will be very helpful for everyone

Based on the world rankings on 10th July 2023, when the European competitions are set up. Croatia are 4th, Germany are 10th.

Does anyone know when the ‘cut off’ for the last SI update was? Always like to go back and submit any changes that have happened since release.

Thanks @Curtains2720 . Can you believe I haven't played any of fm24 yet, so I'm real pleased you're enjoying the file. I was always happy leaving Lazio in, as they are the reigning champs after all! But I can tell you how to change it for a team of your choice, it's easily done. 

 

It may interest you to know that I've now almost got another update ready for release. In this version I have transferred all the ECWC details into the Europa Conference League ID. A nice little touch from doing this is the walkout anthem is now played for the ECWC matches. I am just in the process of sorting out the ad board hoardings of all 3 competitions so as to remove any references to the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League.

 

I have also successfully introduced dynamic top seeded nations that change every 3 years for the EC and the ECWC. That is based on world rankings, so if a country is in the top 16 in Europe then the club representative will be a top seed and have a bye to the first round. 

 

On top of that I have recreated Russia so they now have world rankings working, they play in all international tournaments, and the club teams play on home soil. Throw in English based Welsh teams playing in the Welsh Cup and potentially qualifying for the ECWC, and the file has really developed over the years into a well rounded piece of work. 

 

Regarding Lazio: The easiest way to do it is to alter the history record of the ECWC in the editor. Either replace Lazio with the team you want, or add an extra year into the history with the team you want.

I have added a new updated 80s file to the opening post. I have amended the squad selection rules to accommodate today's squads builds. I have also added FFP to match what it is currently. I did multiple tests with FFP but not one club failed it. So I hope it works ok. As usual let me know of any issues. Thanks, enjoy, and Happy New Year!

They fix colors (RGB 1:1 mapped) and add 3rd kits for all kits in the pack (excluding Serie C in Italy, they will come later). Only work on new saves, but enhance your experience for sure - big thanks to @Jamaicaman90 putting in hours and hours of effort!

Yeah, same as in FM23. I tried so many solutions last year and couldn't come up with anything. Unfortunately the big leagues in the Gulf are unplayable after one or two transfer windows due to the default transfer AI.

 

My best guess is those teams are targeting such high-profile foreign players, the AI gets confused and labels all their domestics “surplus to requirements” because it thinks it can do better. In default leagues like England and Brazil, it can find replacements - here, of course, they can't find anyone suitable and end up playing 16 year olds. It's why I stopped editing this further and lost my enthusiasm to port over most of my FM23 projects like the Qatar league, King Salman Cup, Gulf Cup etc. Huge disappointment but it makes sense, the default transfer AI is optimized for playable leagues and this is an unfortunate casualty
