you seem a bit confused those comps are continental ones so you cant use a nation  to create them, it has to be continental rules as per your image above- you are trying to create new rules using this method rather than view/edit existing the current rules

its fully explained in my FAQs however how to view the advanced rules for those comps using a nation  and then convert it into a continental file

you should also be able to use the template I created in fm21 in the fm22 editor here

There is nothing to fix  for me once a person is set to be Czech under nationality then his main language is also auto set to czech 

If you see a different outcome report as a bug to SI

I assumed you had done that as thats how the opening post reads-  😉

when creating a new player it defaults to the nationality of the player.So I shouldn't have to add Czech as their main language. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

just save it FM22 editor and verify it

when you create a new person/player in the editor and once you add them to being Czech the language should set to being Czech as you say[the default setting when you initially add any person is auto filled as England/English so it might be down to this]

if it showing like this in the editor but in game his main language is English then its a bug that you need to report to SI

I am aware of similar issues with the original DB where some nationalities had random languages assigned to them, so there was/is still an issue from what you are saying

report back as to what SI say

I have tried several ways of adding the entries into the config file using notepad and notepad +++ still no joy, I have never had this issue before.

 when adding images to a background file its a simple copy and paste of the text into the config .xml and the images placed in the sub folder with the right reference details but try as I might when I cant get this to work, I have even created a sub folder to contain just the images of the new comps and its own mini config file but it doesnt work

 any input is appreciated

when free can you take a look at this config xml file please for some reason when I try to use it I lose all the background graphics, I havent had this issue before all the images are in the correct folder and correct format and it looks fine to me

it might be possible to covert it to a xml file hopefully someone can give input on this as that would be a great option

if you are trying to load a batch of players etc to the game you could do this previously using the support staff .edt file and opening in notepad etc

however in FM22 this is no longer an option as I could load a mass of regen names into the DB this way now SI have blocked that route

Just seeking some advice I have added several competitions to the game and I usually just update the competition backgrounds with my own photo and add the required update to the config file within this folder- but there is no config file there

there is a config file here

but once opened it doesnt look right, if this is the config file dealing with all the sub folders surely there would be thousands of entries like this-

but it looks like this?

Tips to help resolve crashes in game

Sometimes I have found issues with the game game crashing trying to move it forward especially after leaving a game is down to the skin so try using the default one if the issues goes contact the creator of the skin so they are aware of the bug.

Also try doing this clearing the cache and verify the game

Clearing the cahe-

Same as the editor tip above but in the relevant game folder instead

Navigate to C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager xxxx
- Delete the ‘Cache’ folder

NB you will lose your game set up preferences when you do this

When launching the game for the first time after completing this, you may notice the game takes a little extra time to load up (especially if you’re using custom files). This is where the game is re-caching the files in game and will only take place the first time you click on screens. From that point on, the game will be cached and should run at optimal speed.

Verify game

 Find the game version FM xxxx  right click 

click on properties

select local files and click verify integrity of game files

This will replace any missing/damaged files but be aware it will possibly over write real name fixes too

if the game is allowing it to continue in holiday then there is not much wrong with your file it is sounding like a bug you need to report to SI if you are getting the serious error issue

BUT sometimes issues like this are resolved by clearing cache/verifying the integrity of the game etc explained here

and by using the default skin[try these tips before reporting to SI]and report back here if they worked

I have had enough of users directly P.M. me asking for me take on various projects they want, or asking questions that should be posted on the forums, it is constant and it stops now.

as I said those are the changes in the file  clearly shown above, changes to agreements, no clubs edited are you using any other edited files?

Hopefully I have found what the issue is

 it looks like Latvia is set for the top league to have only 7 teams in the first season, my UEFA set up means 8 clubs from each nation take part in various comps

so the game couldnt find that 8th team for an Intertoto spot

 so I have  done a quick nation rules file with an extra team added  to the Optibet Virslīga so fingers crossed that will solve this issue, if not plan B I will set a very minor club in latvia to have a high rating

Hi mate got most things ironed out the big one was the fixture rules just vanishing that seems fixed now with editor update👍

encountered an occasional bug  very frustrating in test I am running it doesnt always happen I like you have revamped the UEFA comps and in all comps every UEFA country gets 2 places I want to try and get some  fairness

however  I have seen Bayern taking part in both UCL and Intertoto  cup in the second season only, its bizarre Latvia do not submit 2 teams only 1  and so the comp draws the top rated team instead I would imagine to fill the missing place, but I run another sim it doesnt happen?

the rules are fine so looking like a random annoying bug - have you any suggestions on this I was thinking of making a random latvian team be highest rated so the game will select that if it needs to generate one extra team

if you have other issues in game you need to check the other files you are using

you need to explain what  exact file you used from here, and are you perhaps using other files too? and why you think it has anything to do with this
