why havent you got access to the editor 

you need to edit him in the editor and report the issue to SI for their data update 

the live update here as far as I am aware cannot edit player positions

Hi as per my profile update I am away for several weeks and with no access to the editor etc

your comment about needing to be activated is confusing that tab just shows what the date and likelihood of when Brexit would occur, by adding that back in you make Brexit happen which defeats the whole purpose of the Mod

if you are saying however that tab now has those details [ I see there has been a 22.4 update ]  added back in by SI just delete it

that agreement change tab  was blank and not showing anything in previous versions of the FM22 DB…you are using FM22?

but I am really confused with what you are doing now…  you state in your opening post this-

now you have a ‘FIFA World madness’ comp including teams from Mexico/Brazil/Europe etc ??

the file I gave you is a continental rules file set to Europe if you want clubs from nations all over the World you need to do it differently as you may impact on their continental comps[unless you know what your doing] and you could end up either with the UEFA structure not playing out at all, or just this one comp or with clubs playing in multiple comps at the same time so it would be chaos 

think you need to reflect on what your idea is exactly, use the files I gave you to play around with, and as said look at Carlito85  file to see what can be done- infact he usually has files in it  going back to older European set ups such as 1 round knockouts like the old European Cup etc he has many many options

and if you want World club tournaments there are already mods out there, download them and look how they were made and adapt them.

yes indeed it could the mod and as said to be sure run a test with/without it and see if the result is the same

also open the file in the editor and you can look at nation england/language see if just has just English if so its a bug that needs to be reported again to SI

Ive quickly cleaned up the file so it has all the rounds set for you correctly just edit to suite your needs

would help if I attached the file😉 this was just a test file I had used in default 22 DB it says advanced rules but those have been removed, its basic rules only

yes you can do this set it up in basic rules first infact I may be able to load an old file for you to use as a template it is in advanced rules but I will set it back to basic for you- [no idea what march madness is but this can be set up NB do some thorough checks in game that there are no clashes with international games etc]

firstly add all the nations you want to send clubs to take part [usually there is 54 nations for UEFA comps so you can decide who gets allocated the extra 10 places, or you can select less nations its up to you]

 remove the Europa league - so its not playable

you can change the format from group/KO to all knockout rounds which is simple as 64 to 32 to 16 is easy to do[set the draw to be seeded not random]

and NB the Super Cup would no longer take place unless you changed it to be winners of this new comp and winners of conference league

so this is all straightforward

I am going to be away for several weeks without any access to the editor etc so  read the FAQ I set up here and download @Carlito85  file to see what can be done especially with advanced rules if you want to go into detailed stuff-what you want is achievable in basic rules and wont get complicated so stick to those

just remove the expenditure cap, just leave it blank

 wow those are big numbers I go the total opposite, the game is far too easy for the rich elites[but so is real life football too👎], but its your game you do what you want mate 😉

try removing that expenditure cap

run a test with/without the file then you will know for sure😉

There have been many issues reported regards language bugs so this might not be down to this mod

[29] FFP and continental rules

When you create a continental file as explained at points [7] +[8] along with having to set up fixture rules if you want to for your competitions 

you will also need to do so for FFP if you want them added

So when you add a new set of FFP rules they will be shown as 0

you can set them to start when you want and you can set up extra rules for future season if you wish BUT you need to be specific when the rules will start and end if doing this.

If wanting only one set just leave start/end dates blank

its up to you to select over what period the rules are for -here it is one season

you can also select the income this includes + the expenditure which will be used to calculate the balance[so you can make it easier or hard to pass/fail FFP]

This section deals with amount a club can contribute each season[such as a sugar daddy putting extra income in] here as it a 1 season set of rules, you can set it up to 4 years

The lowest income expenditure is basically the loss allowed in view of the club's extra investment so here its 30M Euros and 35M Euros loss allow [eg a loss of -5m]

so in game this will show as

If you wanted teams to have to make a profit and not allow a loss it is done like this

in game it results in this-teams are now expected to make a profit of 35m Euros[IMO this again has been vastly over complicated by SI]

I suggest you have a trial at this and be prepared to have a few goes before you find the sweet spot you are aiming for

and if using FFP there has to be punishments issued so    you set that up here

for some reason you can add several out of the options but the game will select only one at random- a club wont have a ban+ transfer ban imposed in this example it will be one only

once again this is over complicated and unnecessary IMO and I suggest it is flawed as the transfer ban in the editor says it is for one season[that is 2x transfer windows] However in game see it states one transfer window-that is not one season.

I did ask for you to show images of the fixture rules index and state exactly what number relates to the comp

[28] Remember for continental/International files to make sure all competitions are entered correctly

This is a common issue where users do all the hard work start a  new save and when the DB has loaded Competitions edited do not show in game, and are missing

This simple self explanatory section has to be completed to match the number of competitions[image 2] you have in the list section of your file minus the set of rules the file relates to….so here you will see [image 1] is the list  showing 12 entries one of which isnt a competition it is the set of rules for the file so we do not include that - here it is international rules.

Image 2 The actual number of comps we need to load is 11 you need to add each one using the Add tab

Then post the index that relates to the UCL- show the number

first show an image of the fixture  rules index

 read my FAQs on how to create these type of files I suggest you read them you will see what should be done to create a file

if you want to try that way you need to ask the guy who did the video, that is a method I introduced to the SI community approx 10 years ago it was a pinned topic in the old editors hideaway -

you can use it to do minor things but I do not recommend having continental comps in with international comps, even with basic changes its better to create specific continental/international files totally separate, it could be there is a bug that needs to be reported to SI, but you need to create a standalone file for the comp first to try

here is something I did with international rules to get a best of the rest qualifier/s set up [I have an extended world cup so for example in UEFA section the top 2 teams in each group qualify and the 3 best 3rd place teams]

its set up like this

extra group settings-extra fate places 3[so for you set to 1] these are your ‘extra places’

to get the top teams through its here[it is set to 2 top teams you need again to set this to 1]

Hi mate FYI had this file drop out and re connect a few times, and speeds were up and down ranging from under 1MBs -30MBs

no big deal just for you to be aware could have been a temporary glitch
