Awesome, what format would everyone prefer?

I was thinking group stages and then semi finals to follow but I've seen plenty of these tournaments fizzle out in the past so maybe knockout would be better?

That's not the end of it at all, you always see statements like that and the player ends up moving anyway.

Just because it's Barcelona you're buying from doesn't make those sort of statements anymore credible. Besides other places are reporting that Fabregas would consider the move so I'd say it's still a possibility really.

Why would we need a midfielder though.

I think Spurs do need a midfielder, they've got good physicality there at the moment but they've not really got much creativity there at all.

Well batted, but England have a ridiculous habit of letting tail enders score big runs against them.

Don't think Agar is a proper tailender though, his averages are actually pretty good for someone is age he should be at least batting at 7 or 8

Too little competition for places, I think, is responsible for this type of performance at the start of a series.

Bell, for example, has barely been better than mediocre his whole career and his place is 100% secure.

Hardly, he's inconsistent but he's still a very talented batter on his day.

Great opening day anyway, probably about even going into tomorrow.

Bit unfair on Fernandinho, a player playing in Brazil has a much better chance of getting picked for the Brazil squad over someone playing in Ukraine, even if he has been playing Champions Leagues, that's just how their selection policy works.

Cesar was brilliant for QPR at times, he'd still be a good signing for a season or two. He's quite obviously a world class keeper, far better than Szczesny is at the moment, it's just about getting him back to top form.

Toure's had a good season, could add good depth to Liverpool's defence and he's a free transfer. Pretty smart deal if you ask me.

I think Cisse has been good, too much was expected from him after last season but he's still scored some important goals for us even though the service to him has been pretty shocking at times. He's a very limited player really, just an out and out poacher, the only way we're going to get the most out of him is if we have good players around him, when he's relied on to do it by himself he's found wanting.
