And scored 171 goals in his career.

Clough was a prolific striker.

Might be better to do some actual research into it, rather than just listing a few strikers who became bad managers, and forgetting about the good ones.

Watched the documentary. Some good bits. Mostly over exaggerations and people telling the same bloody stories we've all heard. Paolo Nutini telling the Jason Manford story was cringe worthy.

Not liking the RPG elements of creating a manager.

MEDIA INFORMATION │ 7 October 2014
A Statement from the family of Jules Bianchi
Yokkaichi, Japan
7 October 2014, 23.00hrs local/15.00hrs BST
The following statement is provided by the family of Jules Bianchi, in conjunction with the Mie General Medical Center, and is distributed on their behalf by the Marussia F1 Team.

“This is a very difficult time for our family, but the messages of support and affection for Jules from all over the world have been a source of great comfort to us. We would like to express our sincere appreciation.

Jules remains in the Intensive Care Unit of the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi. He has suffered a diffuse axonal injury and is in a critical but stable condition. The medical professionals at the hospital are providing the very best treatment and care and we are grateful for everything they have done for Jules since his accident.

We are also grateful for the presence of Professor Gerard Saillant, President of the FIA Medical Commission, and Professor Alessandro Frati, Neurosurgeon of the University of Rome La Sapienza, who has travelled to Japan at the request of Scuderia Ferrari. They arrived at the hospital today and met with the medical personnel responsible for Jules’ treatment, in order to be fully informed of his clinical status so that they are able to advise the family. Professors Saillant and Frati acknowledge the excellent care being provided by the Mie General Medical Center and would like to thank their Japanese colleagues.

The hospital will continue to monitor and treat Jules and further medical updates will be provided when appropriate.”

Morgan Schneiderlin:

Was the meeting with Southampton officials on July 29 tense? Yes. During the last months, there was interest from clubs. 3 clubs and among them Tottenham. Since February-March, I and my agents talked with Southampton about a possible departure. The club always told me they will sell me for the right price. Me and my agents went to that meeting on July 29, with a very serene state of mind, with very exciting propositions. To me, with my 6 years spent at Southampton and what I always gave to the club, everything should have been sorted out during that day.

I told them I signed for a project that was supposed to keep the best elements to go higher. And before that meeting, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Luke Shaw and Chambers all left. I asked my-self: ‘That is not the same situation anymore, that is not possible. What are they doing?’ At that moment, Southampton didn’t hire anyone yet. Chambers signed at Arsenal the day before our meeting. And the club started to see the fans were getting mad. They thought: ‘If Morgan will leave, the stadium will be burnt.’ So they guaranteed us: ‘Morgan is not for sale. We won’t listen to anything. Morgan will stay. That is the project. There is nothing more to say.’ It was a real shock to me. I thought: ‘Why do they block me while I gave my very best and experienced everything with that club.’ Of course, I was angry.

I thought: ‘I just played in the World Cup after 2 good seasons in Premier League. I always shut up. I can’t stay in a team that will play for salvation. I need to reach a new level.’ So I told them: ‘You don’t respect me, you don’t respect your words, you treat me like cattle.’ They defended their interest and I defended mine. My tweet after the meeting? I know there are opportunities you can’t miss. That is why I was upset. After that meeting, I had to show I disagreed. With that Tweet I wanted people to understand the situation. In 5 seconds I saw what social networks are. It is like a bomb. That tweet was a key moment in my career.

They're releasing all the new features at once, in a 30 minute video or something, instead of once at a time over a couple of months. Perhaps why it seems a bit later.

Don't think it really diminishes what he's done. He's still far and away the best player in the world right now and certainly has changed the game more than some.

I'm more curious to see how he'll go over the next couple of seasons as he enters his 30's and redefines his game.

Not saying it diminishes it, but if Messi wasn't around, Ronaldo would have so many more individual awards/records.

Feel a bit for Ronaldo. If he'd played at pretty much any other time in the last 20 years, he'd be head and shoulders above anyone else playing at the time.

John Hartson is a bit thick. On 5 Live, says that the player Green passed too was only 8 or 9 yards, says some viewers might question why the goal was ruled out.

Now he's saying it should have stood.

Not really. Cars rarely go off there. Double waved yellows as well. In hindsight yeah, but a SC for every car that goes off when it's quite a way from the track is silly. Aquaplaning plus a lot of bad luck.

"I don't shy away from it and I'm not going to hide," Pardew said of the increasing speculation.

"I'm not holding any grievance against the media, or some of our more militant fans, or the guys who printed the posters.

"I've been out and about and had a few fans telling me their opinions, quite strongly. A few cars are diving a bit too close to me.

"I get it. I will go home, shine my manager of the year trophy and give myself a bit of confidence."

Lol.

What world do you live in? When has not needing a player stopped Madrid still going for them? If he's not going to sign a contract, it'll become apparent in the next 6 months, in which we'll be able to sell him for a large price in the summer. The idea that'll he'll cost a fraction of the price of Barkley is rather retarded.
