How has it taken this long for them to come up with an anti-Benitez banner that's actually funny?

Well not if Athletic catch Barcelona first.

Athletic are a particularly average side this year, it's Atlético Madrid who are in second.

I guess it's somewhat understandable given recent history with the Argie's and the fact apart from football the only other time they pop up in the news is when someone is being a cunt about the Falklands.

Hardly likely to endear the country to the average Daily Mail reader who's two states of being involve being outrage and preparing to be outraged (actually, that sounds like KM).

You've just managed to make Daily Mail readers sound rational. Kudos.

Nastasic is 2nd only to Varane in being the best young defender in football imo

I have to say, I've thought the same.

Yeah, but Kyle Walker is English and we all know its better to be English than good.

Especially if the good player is a fucking Argie. [/Daily Mail]

It's disturbing that there are people who think like that.

Mind you, I'm biased, I love me some Argies.

Well he's not really getting the credit he deserves due to City not being as good as last year, I was trying to convince a few of my mates how good he is a few weeks ago and none of them were having it.

Yeah, it could be worse, though. At least this year he'll lose out to somebody good, as opposed to last year where Aguero lost out to Kyle fucking Walker.

He should be a shoe-in for Young Player of the Year. I suspect it'll end up with Bale or Wilshere or somebody like that instead.

McDonalds do have the McFlurry though, hell I'm not even sure what dessert stuff Burger King do, I know they had that brownie with ice cream thing that was AMAZING.

McFlurry's are shit, always have been.

Burger King's fries are waay better. Actually by and large Burger King's better anyway. In fact I'm going to go get an XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger right now.

Aye the only thing McDonalds do better better than Burger King are the chicken nuggets. Other than that, it's Burger King all the way.

That's bullshit.

You're telling me they fired Mourinho ? Grant ? Scolari ? Ancellotti ? Di Matteo ?

The only one you can make a case for is AVB, who handled the thing poorly from the first day

I'm not saying they personally fired those managers, neither am I saying they were entirely to blame - especially Mourinho and Grant - but it's undeniable the influence wielded by the back-bone of the team Cech, Cole, Terry, Lampard and Drogba played a part in the departure of several of those managers, in particular Scolari and AVB.

It is his fault though. If he had not said that crap then this would be nowhere as bad. It is all his doing.

It's not though. If John Terry and co hadn't been allowed to consistently try (and succeed) to get manager's sacked, then this wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad (for him or for the last few managers). If his job title wasn't Interim Manager, this wouldn't have been as bad. If Roman/the hierarchy didn't have a habit of firing their manager whenever it started getting rough, it wouldn't have been this bad.

For the last time, I can't be arsed arguing about this with you all day, Rafa made mistakes - quite a few of them - but this is not all his fault.

You can't really blame Abramovich though, its his money and you wouldn't have had any success these past few years without him and it.

You can, though. Just because he has largely been good for Chelsea doesn't make him infallible.

It is like picketing for UKUncut and then working for Vodafone. You deserve everything you get and to think otherwise is the idiotic act no matter how right you think you are.

I'm not saying he hasn't played a part in it but to say it's entirely his fault is just wrong.

Makes a good point. It's very rare now that you will get a manager at a top club for as long as Fergie or Wenger; the culture of Super Rich owners and increased TV money have changed that. At least Roman has got a large part stable. It would be for any incoming manager to decide if they could work that way, alot of managers like to surrounded by their own people, like Mourinho when he came to Chelsea. Some managers would feel that working with people they are not familiar with would not help them to have a good start at the club results wise. By the time you are integrated, you could be gone.

To be honest, even before the age of massive TV deals and super rich owners, tenures such as Fergie's and Wenger's were rare anyway. It's a good read, though. My only major disagreement with it is that, whilst there is a degree of stability in the personnel, Roman's habit of going with the flavour of the month and changing his mind goes a way towards undermining that stability.

Also:

RDM, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Benitez(?)

Despite him doing this being entirely absolutely and utterly hilarious, most of what he's said is essentially accurate.
