A rating of badness from 1-Ramsey?

Looked very similar to Ramsey, though it looked like it was a bit higher up the leg. Gutted for him, he's been fantastic this season.

In all fairness that's how you're trying to play by working the ball wide but rather than fall to his head the ball keeps landing at his feet. For me though both teams are crying out for one of their central midfielders (much more so Utd) to actually break forward rather than just play it safe and very easy standing still passing the ball from side to side. I've noticed it in every Utd game i've seen this season and of they had that player it would make a massive difference.

Yeah i think the only centre mid we have capable of that is Herrera and he is usually very good when he does. Bastian, Carrick and Schneiderlin are more often than not gonna play safe. Depay also needs to do something other than constantly trying to cut inside as its too easy to defend against. Even Ashley Young sometimes goes down the line now.

As much as I hate seeing us doing it, if we're gonna persist with this mental notion of having Fellaini as our 2nd choice striker we might as well just lump crosses in when he is on the pitch. All this possession and passing is being wasted every time we play the ball to his feet.

Fellaini's first touch is horrific. Liverpool are all over the shop and he keeps wasting it.

If he wants to be certain of a deal to Madrid then not signing a new deal and going for free will confirm this. Plus himself and his agent will make a lot more money if its a free transfer.

That is definitely true, the romantic part of my head likes to believe that he loves the club and wants us to get some money out of him for helping him develop. The reality could be that he does go on a free, but I could definitely see something like him signing a new deal, with a huge wage increase, and a release clause for the same price as whatever Madrid were gonna pay for him this window.

Also its crazy he isn't already Spain's number 1, regardless of whether he is at Madrid or not.

Yeah i saw a twitter post of his - seemed like he was up for proving everyone wrong/work hard to get into the team. Could be all guff like obviously but it seemed genuine.

We get in one player and let another 2 go, this is getting silly, this transfer window started so well n'all.

Also will miss De Gea immensely, loved him and I can't stand Madrid. As for Navas i've never really seen him play much outside of his impressive performances at the World Cup. Either way I have no doubt he is an improvement on Romero.

Has a 1 on 4 record apparently. Potent.

Edit: DM article headline says 1-5 record. Even better.

8 in 31 league games last year and 11 in 42 all comps I believe. We have two 19 year olds, a midfielder and fucking Rooney as our striking options now. Depay and Mata are gonna have to play a blinder all season if we are gonna do anything this year.

Mental price for someone who is completely unproven. I haven't seen loads of him admittedly but the little I have he has just seemed like a French Welbeck.

Blackett out of loan to Celtic seems done too. So thats Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Blind and McNair we have for CB's this season? A tad worrying with Smalling, Jones and Rojo's injury records.

I don't think he actually meant to hurt Coquelin but he's studded him on the shin and was certainly worthy of a red. The way Newcastle are fouling us it might not be the only red card we see.

Yeah it was completely accidental, he was just stretching for the ball after a bad touch. But yeah it caught him in a horrible area so it had to be a red really.

How's United's group tough? Only really the 4th seed where they could have gotten someone "easier" but that would have been a long trip to Astana.

1. We're not exactly great at the minute.
2. Wolfsburg and PSV are both decent enough sides (although admittedly both of them have lost their best players)
3. Moscow is pretty much always a tough away trip.

Its not a tough group by any means and we SHOULD definitely make it through but there is certainly some potentially tricky games. It could easily become a bit of a scrap knowing us and I reckon the reason it's 'tough' is more of a reflection on us than the actual group itself.

Did nothing I just said compute with you? We sold a player WHO WANTED OUT because he WASN'T HAPPY about NOT BEING GUARANTEED A FIRST TEAM SPOT. Who also had a POOR ATTITUDE in training. What more do you expect? He was given a chance initially. We were aware he was talented (hence why we signed him to begin with) but he didn't wish to stay and fight for a first team place. Just like Lukaku didn't wish to stay and fight for a spot. He could have been an absolute flop at Wolfsburg and it would be a non-issue. Obviously, he's done well in Germany in a side where he was guaranteed a regular position and had little competition for a place. That's football.

What next, you'll start blaming a side like Burnley for only selling a clearly talented John Stones for £3m to Everton when Everton could now be selling him for excess of £30m? Or any other transfer where a player is sold to another club for a small fee, before that club eventually sells said player on again for considerably more to someone else.

If KdB had more fight in him and a better attitude (see Zouma) then he'd quite possibly would have been a regular fixture for us now. Instead, he took the easy route out. It has absolutely nothing to do with Mourinho being impatient or not giving him a shot. In the end we doubled our money at the time when his career could have gone either way.

It's Barnsley....oh and completely different too.
