Same. Courtois, Zouma, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Lucas Piazon and Lukaku were always players I would buy regularly on FM before they joined Chelsea. Like obviously the best young players always end up at the best teams but it has been weird how many of the specific ones i would always buy end up at Chelsea.

Never understood the taboo nature of it. What's wrong with wanting to get another player on the other team booked if you feel they deserve it?

The same reason people dont like diving. It's just a seemingly un-sportsmanlike way to try and gain an advantage of your team. Some people hate it, some people don't mind it/have accepted it. Depends on each individual i guess.

God no, Lindegaard is appalling.

Think we've played well, nothing wrong with Rooney's goal but decision making let us down in the final third.

Yeah that speaks more on how bad I see Romero as really. N yeah decision making has been really poor in the final 3rd. Memphis and Shaw look great down the left again going forward, though Memphis' end product has been frustrating. Really impressed with Smalling too.

If he's not gonna play De Gea I'd much rather we played Lindegaard in goal. Romero shits himself everytime the ball comes anywhere near him. Every cross that comes in convinced we are gonna concede.

Our options there are Depay, Mata, Young, Januzaj. Young's not good enough to be a starter for us, and the other 3 are as likely to be used at number 10 as on the wings.

Not only is there a huge amount of pressure on two young players, but we're also short of numbers. I'd say its a huge worry, regardless of Rooney's current form.

I agree with that, we could definitely do with another high quality winger. I just don't think it takes precedent over a striker and high quality a centre-back. All of our centre backs have been consistently inconsistent as well as fairly injury prone. Rooney hasn't made an encouraging start and behind him we are incredibly thin. Wilson clearly isn't ready and who knows how up for it Hernandez is after a couple of seasons of basically being ignored.

Otamendi to City rumoured, with Mangala going the other way on loan. Pedro to City also rumoured, but that's from the infamous Sky sources.

Imagine City sweeping in and grabbing both due to us haggling.

I loved him too. He could be a bit of a headcase sometimes but when his mind was actually on the game he was really very good. Hasn't had nearly enough playing time in the last couple of seasons so I can't blame him for going but I will miss him for sure.

Yeah if we don't at least get a CB and another attacker I can't see us improving all that much. Im expecting us to be too inconsistent still. It's still Chelsea's title to lose but yeah I think Arsenal have the best chance out of everyone else.

If the squads stayed as they are i'd probably go 1. Chelsea, 2. Arsenal, 3. Utd, 4. City (optimistically)

Norwich and Leicester I think will both go down. The 3rd team could be between a few - Villa, Bournemouth, Sunderland,Watford etc

I agree too, I feel his pain. Its such a shame he's only been able to spend over £200m himself since he came back to Chelsea. I dunno how they make do with signings like Fabregas, Costa, Matic and Cuadrado. Come to think of it it's amazing how much success Chelsea have had over the last 10 years considering how little they have spent.

In all seriousness though, meh, it's the new normal. I agree with Sam though, it's getting boring. Most other managers/people just ignore him now. Since Fergie retired it's only ever really interesting when he goes after Arsenal as him and Wenger genuinely seem to hate each other.

From what I've read it looks like Di Maria is on his way out and Pedro will replace him.

Shame. Though if it happens im guessing we will start playing with proper Wingers again with him and Depay. Then play Mata behind Rooney I would imagine.

Anything along those lines would probably be the perfect scenario, whether that would happen or not is another thing. As for Schweinsteiger he won't play every game, especially with his injury record but overall he is a great buy for his experience and mentality. A centre back is a must as is a proper back-up to Rooney. He has a spell out pretty much every season and it would be so much pressure on Wilson.
