Corinthians have been as expected: composed on the ball, high pressure and inventive. Chelsea's finishing hasn't helped, but overall Corinthians have edged this game.

As usual, last man fucking standing for these nights.

Been a very solid undercard so far, but the main event could be mind blowing. A loss would be so perfect.

Rodgers talking compete sense in his post match interview.

If he is backed financially and allowed to stay in his job despite results, I can see them challenging in three years.

With buying average players never.

Nothing super inspiring, routine victory. Diouf, Byram, Tate all very good. Just need to get rid of Peltier.

That article is terrible.

"Manchester City will present a stern test for Uefa's new financial fair play rules when they come into force for the 2014-15 season after the club announced a loss of £97.9m for the last financial year."

Now whenever I read people say this I get prepared to go into defence mode about how Man City will be held up as the shining light of proof that FFP works: cutting their losses year-on-year.

"The exemption on which City are set to rely begins with an allowance Uefa will make if a club's losses are higher than €45m for the 2011-13 years, but are being steadily reduced. City have halved their loss from the £197m, the highest ever in English football, in 2010-11, so will show Uefa that positive "trend". In this 2012-13 year, despite exiting the Champions League at the group stage, City will again expect to diminish the loss by increasing their income from commercial sponsorships and reducing costs by being prudent in the transfer market."

But the cunt who wrote this actually states in his article how, exactly, Man City will have no problem passing FFP standards. So this:

"Manchester City will present a stern test for Uefa's new financial fair play rules"

Is dumb. The guy who wrote must have been bored and wanted to write an article about FFP and Man City, unfortunately his plan backfired because they are going to sail through.

0/10 would not read again. Shit article.

I wanted to see Seven Psychopaths but I wasn't buying the tickets. Standard fantasy schlock, which would be fine if it wasn't so fucking long. My arse was in pieces by the end of the film.

CR7 started it all.

I'm fairly certain it was David Beckham with DB7. I know he used to sign his name with the number seven on autographs and he marketed it well so that the number seven was his thing. Until he moved to Real Madrid and started talking about 23 was the number he shared with Michael Jordan one of his "all time heroes". Snore.

I most enjoyed that moment because the cunt I went to school with had to bin all his DB7 shit he owned.

How's life been since the name change? Do you still introduce yourself as Max?

It's a conversation starter, that's for sure. Once I get my driver's license back it'll be easier to convince people.

I'm not even kidding. This is the most ambitious, beautiful, deep, moving and astounding film to come out this year. It's tremendous, better than anything else I've seen in 2012. Watch it.

I've been watching a moderate amount of La Liga in recent weeks and there isn't that much of a disparity between England and Spain in terms of balls into the box. Certainly when you face teams like Barca, Real Madrid, Valencia and Atletico Madrid you're going to see a lot of traffic in the air. Opposition teams against those like to play down the flanks because there is more space available.

I'm going to put it out there that Ferguson wants to avoid having a similar issue that he had when Van Der Sar was injured/needed a rest. The keepers that came in like Foster or Kuszczak never really looked confident in themselves, so perhaps by keeping Lindegaard playing a game or two in every 10 he feels he'll stay fresh and confident he can step in if De Gea is out.

I don't tend to buy into the idea a keeper needs to be top class coming for crosses and top class commanding his area, he just needs to keep the ball out of the net, De Gea does that very well and has cut out a lot of silly errors (something I put down to his age and also lack of English) last season.

For me Lindegaard is good enough for United as a backup and I'm confident he can step up if needed.

Absolutely crucial skills that separate top goalkeepers from mediocre ones. There's nothing more painful to watch than a keeper flapping at balls into the box. When you can look at 5+ corners a match and at least 10 more crosses in open play it's important to know your keeper can deal with those balls. As for command of the area, look at how someone like Petr Cech marshalls his defence to understand what makes him such a superb player.
