Watford sign 7 players on free transfers from Udinese.

Cheating bastards. Not only is it a way round the loan regulations, it's a way around FFP. Just look at the rest of us in the division charging around having to pay transfer fees on top of wages, when Watford get seven players for a song. Utterly unfair.

It makes sense, why would you charge yourself for something you want when you already own it?

I'm sure there are plenty of guys on the forum with law experience, but it sounds like you might have some sort of case, especially if you're not all made redundant and the company immediately wound up.

Still means that they are making money from lending money, which is against Sharia Law.

Hypocritical Ninjas.

Sharia Law is just the equivalent of saying 'Christian law'. The rules are in the Qu'ran, there is no one Sharia Law, it just means a law that is derived from Islamic practices. That's why Saudi Arabia has much more oppressive legislation in comparison to other Islamic countries, for example.

Also, hypocritical ninjas? What the fuck is that?

Fuck ethics. If Papiss was ethical then surely most of his wages would be spent on people worse off than him. He isn't doing this for religion at all.

How do you know what he spends his money on?

This is potentially shocking by Newcastle, if we are forcing him to train by himself because he refuses to wear a logo on religious grounds then, it sounds like racial discrimination. Hope it's just bullshit, or he's not travelling because of Ramadan or something.

They really shouldn't, absolute balls.

Manchester United players should really boycott Manchester United, until it ends its commercial deals with the betting and alcohol companies. And your sponsored by Nike ffs. I'm sure Manchester United have done a full social audit on all of your sponsors to determine they are all ethical.

What has loan sharking got to do with those two things? Don't worry, it won't be a pointless rant, it's because Wonga literally is an evil company by any moral definition. There are no big companies that don't have morally questionable sides to them, whether that be in the form of tax evasion or the way in which their products are produced, but they are endemic problems of a larger economic framework. Wonga are just a bunch of whopping great thundercunts, and if Cisse made it clear this was going to be an issue for him ages ago, then Newcastle should have sorted out an arrangement.

Weren't Ferguson's famous words something about wanting to beat Liverpool?

No, knock them off their perch, which was a far more ambitious, long-term project.

Not to a direct rival, and not unless it was decent money. Rooney is a brilliant player when he can be bothered to stay in shape.

Darren Bent scored a quality goal as recently as the final day of last season, he's not a liability, he's just not Benteke's quality.

We've just signed Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (part ex. with Paul Anderson) and Scott Wagstaff on a free from Ipswich and Charlton respectively.

Really pleased, I like the way that Sean O'Driscoll and Keith Burt are going about things. Targetting good players early.

We've signed so far:

Aden Flint (CB - Swindon)
Frank Fielding (GK - Derby)
Derrick Williams (CB/LB - Aston Villa)
Jordan Wynter (DM/CM - Arsenal)

and now

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (CM/AM/ST/Wherever - Ipswich)
Scott Wagstaff (RM)

Out:

Ricky Foster: Free to Rangers (YES!!!!)
Lewin Nyatanga: Free (YES!!!) (Yeovil a possibility)
Cole Skuse: Free to Ipswich
Tom Heaton: Free to Burnley
Jon Stead: Free to Huddersfield
Dean Gerken: Free (Ipswich a possibility)
Brian Howard: Free
Mark Wilson: Free
Matthew Bates: Free
Anderson: Ipswich P/ex.

Happy with out business so far, lots of high-earning under-performers out. Unfortunately some of the ones we'd perhaps like to shift are under contract.

I was under the impression that Lewis Nyatanga was formerly rated quite highly and was one of your better players?

Even if he came back this summer, they'd still have a better team overall. United still have a gaping hole in central midfield (even with Thiago coming in).

Carrick, Thiago and Kagawa is an excellent midfield three.

Even if you're only good enough to get to the qualifiers for Wimbledon you can make up to £12,000.

Yeah, but to qualify you have to be on the tour accumulating points, which means loads of travel costs.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern would be a step up, but he's not good enough for any of those sides. Monaco and PSG would match his wages and we could offer him more game time. I don't want him though.

Yeah, exactly. I would say an in-form Rooney would be good enough for Real or Bayern, but an in-form Rooney wouldn't have to bitch about not being in United's first XI.

That's exactly the sort of ridiculous, swingeing statement that KM's all about.

The issue was about Roman's impact on football in the last ten years though. Syed was a cunt for no reason and he shouldn't be called on again after making a mockery of it on the wrong platform.

His impact was mentioned, as he explained that Abrahimovic has caused transfer inflation, massive debt of illegitimately-gained wealth to be moved into commercial assets and that he is only good if you are a Chelsea fan.

That's not quite fair. Cascarino was invited on to discuss the impact of Abramovich over the last ten years, so he came on with stories about that, how the club has changed and so on. Syed came on with an agenda to espouse the means being ragged as fuck. That's why you have three people on completely the wrong wavelength with another, because no one came prepared for that. A lot of what Syed is saying is true and I think it's good he did so, but trying to frame it as a destruction of Cascarino is wrong. It's a kick in the face to Sky who thought it would be a a good idea to invite a features writer on board to discuss the merits of an oligarch.

Cascarino had absolutely no idea where the money had come from, and anything about Abrahmovich whatsoever, he was the physical embodiment of football culture's complacency about the issues that Syed raised.

Yes they are.
