The latest build of the CA/PA community submissions is underway as I type this. There has been some (small) delay, owing to various other priorities - including troubleshooting some issues with the Data Update (unrelated), but also some important development work being done on other site functionality.

 

Some of that work is, importantly, a direct precursor to integrating the CA/PA submissions into a daily update flow. That isn't the case effective immediately, but it is close.

 

I would expect a new CA/PA update to be integrated into the main Data Update within the next 24 hours. I've also made the suggestion around visibly publishing the ‘last update’ timestamp - that is a task for the Site Administrator/Owner to decide on and implement, assuming it is feasible to do so.

 

This is a great update, thankyou.

Any reason why after amending a youth players contract (they signed an extension), their in-game photo (I'm using DF11 latest update) is removed?

I am sure we could arrange an announcement/clear indication (in any/all relevant places) once that pivot to daily updates is made, yes.

 

Sorry, I meant an announcement even with the current planned (monthly) schedule. 

For example, the CA/PA was integrated on X date. Next planned = Y Date. 

Right now, it's not clear how up to date the CA/PA portion of the update is?

The CA/PA submissions, at present, continue to require manual processing in order to be part of the overall Data Update. With that in mind, at the moment, the aim is to update the file that contains them on approximately a monthly basis. In terms of the next planned update, it is going to be ‘any day now’ - to coincide with the closure of the European transfer window(s). Naturally, we expected a lot of submissions associated with players moving clubs - which has been the case.

 

I do believe the plan remains to automate this so it is integrated/iterated on a daily basis, but that piece of development work hasn't happened yet. As I am not the site owner, I genuinely can't share any more detail/info than that, at this time, as I don't know any more.

AFAIK it is not obvious, especially without the in game editor, to see if it has been updated.

So I've noticed that player transfer values have changed…however, question, how can a player's CA/PA change if their attributes do not change also? Surely the CA/PA are a product of all stats/personality/traits etc…

Guys, I believe this slowdown when creating a new save is due to a new item that was added yesterday called Player History. It's almost three times heavier than the regular Changes file, both in file size and in the number of changes in the database (2,900,000). For the admins out there, do you know exactly what this new file does? And why is it so heavy?

 

Indeed - devastating impact to loading times.

No - the Data Update contains updated attributes/abilities for over 500,000 Person records already. And the dynamic files provide 10 variations on those to provide some further variety.

 

I was referring to the integration into the update, specifically, of CA/PA values that have been submitted by this community via this website. Which is a new feature that was introduced earlier this year and taking those submissions on board is what is still on the to-do list. I do know the site admin is working on it as I’ve been asked to test some files in the past few days.

 

One of the annoying things about the CA/PA feature not being updated yet, is players who have moved clubs (thanks to the community inputs) are sometimes immediately listed for transfer or loan at their new clubs. This is, I presume, due to their CA/PA values still being too low relative to their teammates so the AI just decides they aren't of the required standard or are surplus to requirements.

 

I'm half expecting to start a save and be able to bring in Gyokores on loan, perhaps along with Lewis-Skelly at the same time like the chap above says.

 

It seems a little odd to introduce a feature for the community to spend time updating/approving these values without being able to implement them into the game yet.

I believe it has been said in other threads that the non-dynamic CA/PA changes are not implemented into the update, and there is no forecast for doing so. 

I don't know why not.

Is it possible to edit a players ability in/preferred position/role. E.g. if a player has been played predominantly on the RW all season, but the in-game data still has him as a CM.

Couple of things, not sure if it belongs to a more specific page…

 

Sheff Utd were taken over by new owners earlier this year. However, the current data set has them with no room in the wage budget and only 500k in transfer funds - this doesn't seem right.

 

Sheff Wed have had a 3 window penalty applied by the EFL for fees, yet have both a transfer fund and 20k p/w in wages available.

Also the former Bournemouth Chief Scout Des Taylor has joined the club as Director of Football. Mikey Allen (current DoF) is probably more akin to being a joint Chief Scout with Jamie Hoyland.
