Apparently both Huntelaar and Robben refused to go first, so Vlaar stepped up and took the responsibility.

The Dutch bottling it mentally? Thats not like them.... oh wait. Yes it is.

Kroos was superb. Reminded me a bit of Scholes last night. If someone picks him up for 25 million euros then its a steal.

Don't take Baker to seriously.

He's just angry he doesn't get laid anymore being a married man and all.

Hit the nail on the head mate.

I've been playing on Sunday's for a good while now after a night out on the piss, getting home at 6am, few hours sleep and then shagging the bird I was fooling about with and then going to play. I don't know why but I back up ridiculously well, no idea why!!!

EDIT: This was my ending on Sunday morning.... Onesie and underwear around my ankles!!!!

I was asleep... Don't even remember getting to bed

Had my going away party on Saturday night which was pure class. I was in bed by 11pm, absolutely fucked off my face!!! Had been drinking since about 2pm and for some reason thought drinking an entire 700ml bottle of sambuca was a great idea!! Had the indoor grand final today and won that 3-2 which was awesome considering our mate passed away recently. Great weekend all in all, bring on Dublin!!!!

I bet the Irish are thrilled to have you back...

I've got just over 9 days left in Brisbane until I leave for Ireland and it's starting to sink in.

Feels quite surreal that I'm finally doing it.

From a land of sun, beautiful women and sporting excellence, to rain, potatoes, pikeys and people like Sears.

I don't think any club in England, except maybe Liverpool, would use him centrally.

I think his biggest problem in Barcelona was the style of football they played and the focus on Messi, not the first to suffer from that.

This is why I think a move to Liverpool would benefit him. He could be a replacement for Suarez. Just off Sturridge alongside Sterling in a 4-3-2-1.

It's probably too late to risk him now, but Erik Durm had one of the stand out seasons in Europe at LB. I'd play him, Lahm at Right-back a runner, either Kramer or Khedira in midfield, then Schweinsteiger alongside with Kroos in front. One of Özil and Götze (doesn't matter which they've both been shite) .

And they need to sit deeper, I don't care what Slashman and Franck say, when you're reliant on your goalkeeper coming out that many times you're on a hiding to disaster, neither Hummels or Mertesacker have the pace to play that high a line.

I'd go along with that. I dont watch too much German football so not sure of all the players, but I'd go along with something like that.

Definitely a bit deeper. They can still play a high-ish line, just not camped on the half way line. Better teams will exploit that massively.

When? Him rushing out saved about 3 certain goals (or at least 3 1-on-1 situations) due to Germany's defensive mistakes

I'd say more tactical mistakes than defensive mistakes.

The German team was set up so badly.

4 CBs across the back 4 - not too much width from the fullbacks high up the pitch, apart from the RB on occasion.
Lahm holding in midfield - didnt protect the back 4 at all which is what they needed from him last night to stop the counter attacking.
2 "wingers" who always want to come inside & no pace in the team.

I would set Germany up like this:

Neuer

Boateng - Mertesacker - Hummels - Lahm

Kroos - Schweinsteiger

Schurlle - Ozil - Gotze

Muller

More width and pace in the team, Reus would be in for Schurrle if he was fit.

So long as we get a decent price for him, and reinvest it appropriately, I'll be happy.

Talk of 35million plus Alexis Sanchez. Decent deal I think.

Leaving Brisbane on 14th July. Plan is to live back in Dublin, get a job and all that jazz. Basically just see if it's somewhere I want to be or not, should have done it years ago.

Good luck mate. My missus' sister lives in Dublin, it seems like the job market is picking up a bit now which is good news for you.

Living back with family?

They can't appeal the 9 game ban for Uruguay. They can appeal for the 4 month ban though.

He misses the first 9 PL games, plus any League Cup games & Champions League games during that time.

Also cant play in any preseason friendlies, so he's realistically not going to do much for a couple of weeks after he's available.

Time to sell him Liverpool?

Booked a one way ticket back to Ireland. My mate passing away the other day just made me realise that we aren't guaranteed as long as we'd like to think so I'm finally going to give life back at home a crack and see what happens.

When you going back? Whats your plans?

I feel sorry for James Milner. Gets hammered everytime he plays. He's a good player and works incredibly hard. David Beckham was a similar type of player, didnt really beat a man, just whipped in a great ball. Obvioulsy Milner is no-where near Beckham but you get the idea.

Does anyone else find it a bit sad that most of the games seem to only have 3/4 full stadiums?

Wouldnt FIFA prefer to almost give tickets away and have a full stadium, rather than have alot of empty seats?

Albino elephants.

Knock the Qatar bid all you want but they have three components which will arguably ensure the greatest WC of all time;
1. Close proximity between stadiums
2. Actual infrastructure being built (yes I know what this comes at the cost of)
3. Stadiums being partly dismantled and sent off to Africa

And for people that knock nations like Brazil and South Africa for building big needless stadiums, our 2018 bid had a 46k stadium to be built in Plymouth. Genius.

What, you saying Argyle wouldnt fill a 46k stadium? Madness!

When you flying out? You're cutting it very fine if you haven't had injections yet Twinrix (the Hep A + B vaccine) is a 4 week course!

Risk it for a biscuit.
