Can't believe Wilshere is in there, been so average since he returned from injury. Ridiculous that Nastasic isn't in the POTY list either. Also I'd put Rafael in ahead of Welbeck.

Thank fuck we turned that around, couldn't see our penalty from where I was sitting but looked like we should have had one when Walcott went down a bit before that but we'll see on MOTD. Also didn't think Norwich should have been awarded the freekick they scored from so ref had an all-round shocker.

Loved Norwich (especially the keeper) timewasting like nothing you've ever seen before and then complaining about us doing it when we went 2-1 up. Their players were going mental at the officials and the keeper was punching the floor n all sorts

I don't think Wilshere has been that good since he returned, just the best of a bad bunch which makes him look a lot better for us as it look likes he's the only one who tries. Still quality but I'd say there are quite a few players ahead of him for that spot this season.

Arsenal looks nice apart from the black stripes, we shouldn't have black in any of our kits we're not united. Not keen on the blue we've got in the home kit this season either. Would prefer the stripes on that kit to be red but other than that very nice. I hope we move to Adidas, they make much nicer kits imo.

Now we're stuck paying him wages for 9 months, should have cut him loose a long time ago. Not only is he always injured, he's shit when he is fully fit as well.

The difference is that he is actually playing central, not stuck out on the right wing, was my second favourite player after Van Persie so i'll always stick up for him mind. As for Jenkinson (from Prem thread iirc), i said at the start of the season he'll be a future England international, the quality he has is clear to see and has been head and shoulders above Sagna this season. Just wish that maybe he was played a bit more early on when Sagna was awful, may have made a difference in our performances.

Yep big fan of Ramsey, always have been, hate the stick he gets from some fans and especially the ones that used to boo him but yeah since he's been playing central he's been great.

Think I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago but a lot of fans just give him stick for no reason now when he is in the starting line up or comes on as sub like they don't care how good some of his performances have been. There have been some games where he has played a lot better than both Wilshere and Cazorla but of course some fans won't say a bad word about either of them.

Diaby shouldn't be anywhere near the team, Ramsey was great when he came on. Been great since the new year imo.

Walcott has been shit since he signed his contract, no effort on the pitch and goes missing for massive parts of the game. Imo, he is not good enough for the right wing as he doesn't know how to beat his man, would like to see him play up front for the rest of the season.

Anyway, great win, defence were brilliant again. Would keep the same back 5 again for the next game (maybe stick Gibbs in there as I think he's better than Monreal, depends if he's fit enough).

We are going to get pumped tonight. Apparentley we're resting Scz, Sagna, Walcott, Cazorla and Podolski, as well as Wilshere's injury.

Fabianski, Jenkinson, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho, Giroud

Feel bad for all the fans that have paid to go over there if Wenger is just accepting defeat. Whether we go out or not at least give it a go. Also it's been 10 days since our last game, surely that is enough rest for premiership level players...

This was all down to Wenger not strengthening the squad in jan. He's played basically every minute of every game since he returned from a year long injury because we don't have any one else that is good enough so it's no suprise that he's injured again. I just don't get how Wenger couldn't see this was going to happen.

I watched the game yesterday, the pitch was probably the worst I've seen in my life (including the sunday league etc). Great performance though they defended well.

Some big talents in that team, Chuba Akpom is a beast of a striker, scored in all of the Arsenal and England games he's played in lately and is much better than Afobe was at that age. Gnabry is also class.

That's got nothing to do with this thread, my knowledge on the area i live in makes me know most places i need my car for, so my car wouldn't be useless without GPS, so that's irrelevant.

I can't say i see many people on a bus using a laptop though.

You're talking like it's just bus journeys that this applies to in all of your posts, trying to put forward points of why people wouldn't use it on a bus. You do realise there may be other times you don't have internet connection right? yeah? Just making sure.

They obviously haven't programmed it so it's only bus rides you can't use it on, there are other times when you are without internet connection and want to play games (flights, long train journeys etc). Paying for a dongle and carrying it around everywhere is just hassle.

Newcastle fans going mad because City are charging them £50+ for away tickets after City were moaning at Arsenal for chaging £60

Hope the media make as big a deal of this as they did with us.

Also, West Brom are charging Arsenal fans £45 for an away ticket! Our prices for West Brom fans were £25 when we played them earlier in the season. Will fly under the radar no doubt though.

Will paste what I said in the premiership thread in reply to TS.

Ramsey and Jenkinson were our best players by far. Not sure why you left out Ramsey.

Fair enough some Arsenal fans don't think he's good enough but I hate it when they (not saying you in particular) simply ignore that he has a good game, which I've seen happen a few times this season.

Every time he's played in centre mid (his actual position) this season he has been great imo. It's only because a lot of the season he has been stuck out on the wing or playing very very deep. Even in those positions I think he has done a great job. It's just people hate him, moan when they see him starting and ignore all the good stuff he does throughout the match, but jump on that one misplaced pass.

Ramsey was in a league above Wilshere yesterday who was awful.

Giroud wasn't at his best yesterday. He worked as hard as he always does and won a fair few long balls that were pumped forward, but he made a handful of sloppy passes and didn't really create much in terms of chances. The whole team played poorly though, bar Jenkinson and Rosicky once he came off the bench.

Embarrassing that our only growth is coming from the centrally negotiated TV deals for the premiership.

The commercial team does fuck all yet still pick up massive bonuses for stupid shit like renewing a deal with Emirates. At the time the club spun it as a £150m deal but now its out that it's tiny and the rest depends on trophies and champions league and loads of other clauses (which is understandable from Emirates given how shit we are these days).

Matchday revenue is down because we play less home games (as we are going out earlier in competitions) and are not attractive to corporates anymore because we win fuck all.

Why haven't the board seen that not spending money isn't just hurting in the short term but it's damaging for the club in the long run. Both the fans and the profits of the club.

Don't know why everyone is calling Dyer a cunt for demanding to take the penalty. I'm not too keen on him but scoring a hattrick in a cup final is massive and imo he should have been allowed to take it.

If it was me I'd be demanding to take it and would be super pissed at my team mates for not letting me.

I've also been thinking what is the point of us even qualifying for the champions league every season?

More money....doesn't get spent
Attract world class players...who we don't buy

Our target is to qualify for a competition where we beat a few shit teams in the group stage only to get dicked on by a big european team in the next round, it's such a pointless ambition. Give me an FA Cup over champions league qualification any day. At least until we have a team that has a chance of actually competing for it which at this rate is going to be a long, long time.

Will paste what I said in the FA Cup thread:

Awful performance, we are a joke of a team these days.

What's even more embarassing is the mentality of the club, the other day we ran a poll on the website asking whether fans preferred a top 4 finish or a trophy.

The two aren't mutually exclusive and the fact that 4th place is now a target for the club shows how far we have fallen, small time club these days.

It's like the board don't understand that the worse we become, the income decreases in the long run. Less overseas supporters, commercial revenue falls etc. Not difficult to work out.

Where do Arsenal fans think the team needs improving?

You all seem to love practically every player. Chamakh and Gervinho excluded.

Szechney, Vermaelen (until today), Mertesacker, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott, Wilshere, Arteta, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain. All seem to be loved by Arsenal fans.

Don't think we love our players more than fans of any other team. I personally think we need 4 players (keeper, centre back, defensive mid and a striker.)

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been really poor whenever he's played this season. Diaby isn't as good as everyone makes him out to be, Wenger seems to be pinning all hope that he's the next Vieira but he's nowhere near. He's got good close control of the ball but his first touch is poor and he isn't physical at all. A lot of Arsenal fans have formed this idea that he's a physical DM but honestly he gets barged off the ball by anyone, he's just tall that's it.

Mertesacker is not suited for the premiership, had a couple of good games at the start of the season but too slow and immobile. Him and Koscielny should be back-up defenders if we want to achieve anything.

How was that an awful Arsenal performance??

You absolutely dominated and had "the forehead" put his chance away and Rosicky found the net you would have won comfortably. It's just one of those days were your lot couldn't score and Blackburn got a lucky break.

It was an awful performance because we didn't win and go through to the next round. It was awful because we had all of the possession but could only manage about 3 shots in the whole game.

But yeah you're right Kevo, if that happened, oh and if this happened as well, and that, also that other thing, and we scored, and we won, it wouldn't have been an awful performance

Liverpool's 3rd kit, if it were to be real, is extremely sexy. I like the second one too. Love it when clubs take a plunge and go for a completely different and unusual color!
