So what about having a girl ram a strap-on up your arse? Is that a gay or a straight sexual act?

I would have liked a world class striker and a DM but we've signed a good keeper, Flamini will be good cover for the midfield and then Ozil. Just got to pray Giroud stays fit until at least Jan. I personally don't think we need a CB as Vermaleen will be back after the international break and when he returns we will have 3 quality CB's.

I think the biggest thing is the signing of Ozil shows some ambition/intent that we could use in Jan/next summer to sign a world class striker etc and build from there.

GK - Szczesny/Viviano
LB - Gibbs/Monreal
RB - Sagna/Jenkinson
CB - Kos/Mert/Vermaleen
CM - Arteta/Wilshere/Ramsey/Flamini
AM - Cazorla/Walcott/Ozil/Rosicky/Ox (when he returns)
ST - Giroud (No real cover, could be a problem)/ Podolski (when he returns)

Decent overall I think. 2 more world class signings and we are title challengers.

Fucking hell, seems like the two of you are arguing in every thread I look at

Gonna be a nervous day tomorrow, really hope these Ozil rumours are true and then 2/3 others for squad depth. An attack of Ozil, Cazorla, Walcott and Giroud would be quality.

Not sure what will/would happen at club level (and for the moment at least, Zabaleta's better in pretty much every way) but I fully expect Argentina to go to Brazil 2014 with Zaba as their left-back and Peruzzi as their right-back.

Though that is in no small part down to their weakness at left-back, I'd be interested to see what happened if they had a proper left-back available. It would would provide an interesting battle for the right-back spot.

I've stuck Zabaleta in my fantasy team, is that a good decision? Is he likely to be a first choice defender this season?

In an ideal fantasy world we wouldn't even need Suarez, e.g. a fit Eduardo would be fb.

Eduardo was an amazing finisher, that volley against Burnley or whatever

I'd be devastated if Fabregas went to United

In an ideal fantasy world:

------------ Arteta ------------ Wilshere -----------

Walcott ---------- Fabregas ---------- Cazorla

--------------------- Suarez -------------------------

He's played in all 3 friendlies so far and he looks the bollocks. Think he's got a couple of assists in the 3 games and looks so comfortable out there.

Heard about him about a few months ago but not his name, just knew there was a young midfielder that the club were trying to keep under wraps and that those inside the club believed he was a new Cesc in the making, and you can really see the similarities in his peformances so far.

Obviously the teams we're playing aren't the greatest but he's just 16 and it will be good to see him get a run out in all of our league cup games this season. I reckon Wenger may even give him the odd substitute appearance in the prem if we are winning comfortably if he's already bringing him on tour with the first team.

I absolutely hate it when people make sweeping statements like this, you have absolutely no guarantee of that. I don't think we will get Fabregas or that he will even leave Barca but when people say things as if they are a certainty and as if they are an inside man on a transfer almost no one knows anything about it does my head in.

I took that out after reading my post once I posted it for the same reason

Wenger would do anything he can to bring Fabregas back to Arsenal, no way he will let him go to United and I don't think Fabregas would pick United over us anyway. Wenger's comments indicate he knows the situation there and Fabregas will make his decision next year on whether he wants to leave.

Money is not issue, accounts show we have £100m fund for transfers as well as the fact we are slowly moving towards a better wage structure in which we will pay the best players top money rather than everyone roughly the same amount.

Technically we don't need another creative midfielder and can make-do with what we have but Fabregas is in a different league to anyone we have and if he's available I reckon we'd be in for him. Would be easy to sell Cazorla for a good price too.

But Rooney is massive because he is Man United's highest profile player. Fanboys who support Man Utd want his name for that reason. The top player from Man Utd will, for the foreseeable future, sell a fuckton of shirts. If Utd buy Bale then Bale will easily sell those sorts of figures.

Yeah which is why I'm saying Utd wouldn't sell him for so cheap as they will need a price big enough in which they could sign 'star' that could replace Rooney commercial wise such as Bale. Wouldn't make sense to sell Rooney for £20m to buy Bale for £60m from a £££ standpoint.

Wenger has to buy a new centre-half now. We can't go into the season with just Mertesacker and Koscielny.

I don't think he'll buy another CB as he will probably use Sagna there if anything happens to Mert/Kos. Tbf he did play amazing at CB against Sunderland, Wenger also played him at CB in our friendly yesterday (again he played good) so I reckon he will think that Sagna is adequate enough as backup. Especially as we have another great RB in Jenkinson.

Yeah Rooney is massive commercial wise. Think I read that he sells the 3rd most shirts/merchandise in the world after Messi and Ronaldo which would be an absolute fortune, plus all the image rights etc that come with it. He's still the 'star' of Man Utd in that sense so by selling cheap they'd be taking a massive hit in revenue.

I don't think you can trust any online news website, once one of them runs with a big story (bullshit or not) all the others jump straight in and copy it to try and grab some of the page views.

That lettering is weird as fuck

Dunno why they even have it on the kit, isn't there a default premiership font and number style that has to be used for all teams kits?

My mates a big Arsenal fan but due to living up here he's only had the odd opportunity to see them play, so me him and another mate are heading down for the Emirates Cup \o/

Should be a good day out, tickets are dirt cheap. £29 for two games.

Always good fun and it's going to be absolutely packed with Galatasary fans everywhere because so many turks live down the road, atmosphere will be class. I would be going but will be in Ayia Napa on the dates
