Used to play this back in school. Just got 38420, first two runs I got 16000 but fucked up the last one. Game before that I managed 22000 in the first run but miserably failed the other 2.

Found out my Mum's got cancer yesterday and just wondering whether anyone else has gone through this and any advice they have for me. Pretty much done nothing but cry every moment I've been alone since I found out. Know I have to stay strong for her but I'm struggling atm, will be worse when she comes home from hospital.

Finally watched the last five episodes of Lost three years after watching the 12th episode of season 6. I cried twice when Sun and Jin remembered and when Charlie and Claire remembered. The actual ending answer thing was convoluted and barely satisfying but I'm glad I finished it. Was worth it in the end, season six was pretty good.

About seven episodes into Spartacus at the moment and I'm loving it. It's a bit trashy, but it's very entertaining and engrossing.

I've watched the whole first series of Spartacus in the last 2 days, loving it atm. Just started the first episode of season 2 and was a bit confused as to why the actor had changed, a shame that the guy died in real life, he was brilliant. Hopefully I can get past the change but it will be weird as obviously you grow really close to the character/actor as the story develops and now I feel like I'm starting over.

EDIT: Think I'm going to go back and watch the prequel before I carry on with season 2.

All these Arsenal fans saying they can afford Rooney, since when?

The board say every year that Arsenal have lots of money to spend and they never do, I don't see why this year is any different.

New stadium deal this season and the pretty much done-deal £30m a season kit sponsorship.l AST (supporters group) did an analysis of all our accounts recently and the outcome was that we can comfortably spend £100m this summer.

For the last 18 months we have had £50m+ in the bank that could have been spent without damaging us but the club chose not to. So it's just a matter of whether we will or not now the new deals are coming through and the stadium is closer to being paid off.

EDIT: Rumour is Higuain is 'very close' to signing for us, would love him here but it's probably bollocks.

Just onto the last episode. There's a ton of superlativew I could use to describe this show. Can not recommend it high enough.

Loved Moriarty in it, thought the guy was perfect for that role and everything about the character made it class. Any theories about the ending?

Cyclist knocked Watson over on purpose to disorientate him, and I think Sherlock put that mask on Moriarty and threw Moriarty's dead body off the roof (the Sherlock mask used to trick the children). Explains why he needed a favour from the nurse to identify the body as Sherlock.

Can't wait for the new series to start anyway. Have you seen Luther? I think a new series of that is on it's way too.

I also gave up after the first series of The Killing (US version). I kind of enjoyed it but just had/have no motivation at all to start a whole new series. Would have preferred if they wrapped up that case in a series and started a new case for season 2. Tbh still not sure I would carry on watching it as it's a bit too slow paced for me but would have made me consider it more.

Everyone hates Wilshere?

Obviously not everyone but a lot fans of other clubs think he's a cunt. Heard it a lot irl (not just Spurs fans) and seen it mentioned loads of times on here that 'he's a great player but still a cunt'.

Anyway I agree there are other good options out there, I was just stating some of the reasons why it's not totally ridiculousness to consider we may sign him.

I also want to know why TS doesn't want to sign him as I've seen that opinion a lot on Twitter, also seen many criticise the potential signing of Fellaini. Arsenal fans demand proven great PL players, get linked with Rooney and Fellaini but don't want them. I'd imagine if it was the other way around and if we had only signed Yaya Sanogo people like TS would be calling for Wengers head and asking why he never payed top dollar for a proven striker like Rooney.

Remember this is the club that pay Theo Walcott £100k p/w.

I don't think 100k p/w is too bad for Walcott in the grand scheme of things, supposedly Ashley Young is on £120k and Nani and Valencia are both on £90k. If we had refused to pay him £100k p/w and let him go on a free there would be outrage and people moaning that we are too tight, lose-lose.

I don't want us to sign Rooney and I don't think we will either.

Why not? Just curious why some Arsenal fans scream for us to spend money on big players but don't want one of the best strikers in the world. Not as good as Van Persie but leagues above Giroud.

If you hate him (rather than him as a stirker), consider the fact that everyone except Arsenal fans hate Wilshere. Rooney and Wilshere are very similar, both give it their all which is something our squad lacks for the majority of the season.

It's hardly an unreasonable claim. We can afford him/his wages, need a world class striker and like it or not we are still one of the biggest clubs in the world and an attractive team to play for.

Rooney is currently in RvP's shadow and he'd be the main man/focal point at Arsenal so I don't think his desire to play for us in doubt, just comes down to whether we will pay his wages. I'm confident that Wenger/the board realise it's time to start paying the best players top money (especially as this month we are releasing all of the shit players on 60k a week freeing up 10's of millions of wages on players that never play).

Sticking my neck out here and saying Rooney will be an Arsenal player by the time the new season starts.

Fellaini, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rooney with Podolski, Giroud, Ramsey and Arteta for depth.

I have a feeling we will sign Rooney and I think he'd be perfect for us if we did.

It's called a football rivalry. Presuming you didn't celebrate when Newcastle beat Sunderland 5-1? Seeing as Newcastle had no hopes of winning a trophy that season the result didn't matter, right?

Fact is we don't have a lot to celebrate these days so beating Spurs in this fashion two years in a row after their fans print 'mind the gap' t-shirts and mouthing off is special.

Bitter much.

Fucking hell man. This myth about us being happy with 4th place is complete horseshit. Kroenke might only care about that, but the fans, players and Wenger all want to compete for trophies. Finishing fourth is the very minimum we should expect, but given the fact that we've clawed ourselves back into the top four after a pretty awful season - and beating Spurs in the process - is a cause for a celebration. It's not pathetic, it's just acceptance of where we've been this season and being pleased with doing what we realistically could achieve.

Completely agree.

Loved AVB saying after they beat us that the defeat would send us into a 'spiral of negativity'. 8 wins and 2 draws since including Bayern Munich away

I honestly don't understand the point you're making. Are you saying that qualifying for the champions league is no better than not qualifying for it? Discuss. (10 marks).

EDIT: As an example, there are reports that Villa is/was waiting to see who got into the champions league before deciding whether to go to Spurs or Arsenal this summer but no, it's all the same really.

Yes Champions League football will really help Arsenal push on 16 seasons. imo they totally over-celebrated a season of treading water.

At least Newcastle didn't unveil the 'finished above Sunderland trophy'

Well champions league helps to attract big players, which I think we will this summer for the first time in a long while and also stops Spurs buying big players.

It will help us push on more than finishing 16th, that we can be sure of.

Love it. Even though it's not a trophy this was so vital. Could end up being the peak of Spurs, if they lose Bale. Qualification would have meant definitely keeping him and strengthening with the big extra funds that would be available.

I'm quietly confident that Wenger/the board knows that the limit has been reached with selling players now and he will spend big this summer, especially now that we're in a better position financially These past 2 seasons have been so close and relied on Spurs bottling it but here's to next years title challenge

Can't see it happening personally, no reason why he'd want to go to United to play for David Moyes over Arsenal. Unlimited trophies at Barca (how old is Xavi? Must be retiring soon) and I reckon he'd only ever leave to come back to us. He'd be straight in as captain and with him in the team our chances of winning stuff significantly increase.

Fabregas was around for the big Arsenal-United rivalary, threw pizza at Fergie's face and all sorts, probably hates them as much as Vieira etc did at the time

I'd cry if t happened.

EDIT: RvP was around for those days as well and look where he is now so scratch that last point

I'd take him at Arsenal (no chance of that though). I could see him going to Chelsea over Bayern, don't think he's the kind of guy that could/would want to live in a foreign country

John Cross is reporting that we have agreed a £170m kit deal with Puma (30m a season) which will be the biggest in English football. Huge if true, and John Cross is one of the most reliable journos when it comes to Arsenal.

As the title says.

For Arsenal;

Szczesny's been a bit erratic at times this season but Mannone wasn't much better when he did play and Fabianski only had a handful of games, albeit a few impressive ones. Sagna's had his worst season in an Arsenal shirt and Jenkinson's improved massively, so he gets the nod at right-back. Vermaelen's been pretty poor as well and Koscielny and Mertesacker have comfortably been our best two centre-halves this season and they work really well together. The midfield pretty much picks itself, seeing as Gervinho is just too frustrating a player to warrant inclusion and Oxlade-Chamberlain has barely featured. Ramsey has gotten better as the season has gone on but didn't have the best of times earlier in the year. The front four have all chipped in with a good number of goals to account for van Persie's departure.

I'd have Ramsey over Wilshere but agree with the rest of your team.

Szczesny
Jenkinson - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Gibbs
Arteta - Ramsey
Walcott - Cazorla - Podolski
Giroud

Appeal to overturn Giroud's red card has been rejected, don't see how it was any different to Kompany's red card against us that was overturned. FA baffle me sometimes.
