That's a pretty friendly description for 'Bury are shit', which would be perfectly correct at the moment. I'm fed up to be honest

well, well, well, karma strikes again. Exact same thing happened to us eight seasons ago and we got kicked out. Hopefully, Chesterfield get the same punishment

Not blaming anyone. It was clear that when he came to us that he wouldn't be up to standard in terms of match fitness and things like that. What happened in the past is out of our control, he had an offer to join Hibernian on loan and from today's point of view it would have been better for him to take this offer but hey, that's how it works. It's the job of Flitcroft of Flitcroft and his coaching staff to get him fit so you don't need to worry.

It's a really, really complex situation we're in now but I try my best to analyze it for you. First I have to stress than none of our defeats, bar Shrewsbury away where we've been just shocking, was down to us being complete shit. In recent times we were dominating but just couldn't finish our opponents off. This is mainly down to our two top strikers, Ryan Lowe and Daniel Nardiello being quite injury prone but we expected that with Loew being 36 already. As a result, others had to step up but Danny Rose lost his form after a good start and so Flickers brough tin some loan signings. First one, Anthony Duffus from Everton was a complete donkey and literally offered nothing. Second Hallam Hope, is a good player but clearly nowhere near match fit so as nothing to offer yet, so we have to play Lowe and Naridello suffering from small knocks sometims which is obviously not helpful.
Second, and this is the real problem, the goalkeeping position. Flitcroft brought in Shwan Jalal as new number one, made some good games and was quite popular until he got injured. When injured, Flitcroft put Robert Lainton in goal and after a few dodgy spells was quite good until DF suddenly dropped him again for Jalal. "Competition for places" was how Flitcroft called it. Then after a few games with Jalal, he brought in Scott Loach on loan but he was quite shaky in his only two games and was sent back with a small "knock" and put Lainton back in goal who unsurprisingly was a bit dodgy on Saturday, so knows maybe he'll bring in Jalal again for the next game.
Third, and this is the point which kind of realtes to my second point, our defence. Who are you actually gonna have confidence in your defence when you're constantly changing the goalkeepers? And when one of our defenders loses his confidence Flitcroft immediately drops him and brings in more folk like Kennedy, Kelly and recently Adam El-Abd
These are the defending set-ups in our last six league games (right to left):
Shrewsbury away: (Lainton) Cameron - Mills - McNulty
Southend away: (Lainton) Cameron - Mills - McNulty - Kennedy
Cambridge home: (Lainton) Jones - Cameron - Mills - McNulty
Morecambe away: (Loach) Cameron - Mills - McNulty - Hussey
Newport home: (Loach) White - Cameron - McNulty - Hussey
Dagenham home: (Lainton) Cameron - El-Abd - Milsom
Always changes, never the same line-up or the same formation. This is confusing for the players and leads to lost confidence and therefore fuck-ups in our defence which leads to silly goals.
As you can see, the problems lie deep inside Flickers' skills of man management and his lack of trust in our players

TK's qualities are known around this place and he lead Barnsley's assists statistic in the Championship last season, so he knows how to get the ball in and is a very good defender all around. But some people (myself included) can't forgive how he celebrated his goal for Dale in the Derby in front of our stand so he'll probably have it hard, harder than Adams even. But I can't help but feel something went off in the backroom. You don't make such a signing shortly after a 5-0 defeat if you believe in the team and just want to fix things. Of course, I'd say he's a good signing but something doesn't add up here.

Re Slade: I just find this appointment weird in terms of him being not really qualified for Championship football. When I think of Russell Slade, I think of small clubs with small budget and low expectations and not teams like Cardiff. When we were still up there in League One, Slade played his 4-5-1 hoofball and many Orient fans wanted him to get to boot because he was too stubborn to change anything. However, when he did change his system back to 4-4-2 results unsurprisingly changed for the better. Last season, I believe their season was a bit down to Lisbie and Mooney banging in goals and Baudry keeping it tight at defence and when of them wasn't at their best, they kinda collapsed at times.
Don't get me wrong, he's a good manager at L1 level, who can do brilliantly with small teams and build up a good team spirit if given time, but I'm not quite sure if he is what Cardiff needs

I don't really blame Watford tbf. Sannino resigned and Oscar had health problems. Only thing they've done wrong was McKinlay. As far as I'm aware he was never actually contracted to the club, was asked to be assistant, which he refused and then walked. Looks pretty chaotic from the outside but it's not like Watford chose to be in this position (especially when it comes to Oscar's health).
Another managerial appointment I'd class as 'weird' is Russell Slade going to Cardiff. Given Tan's record of sacking managers, their poor start to the season and Slade managerial skills, I give him two months maximum.

Yeah, bit of lazy journalism in my opinion. Purely made up because both of them work in the region and DF has some experience in the Championship, so nothing really behind it.
Anyway, back to football: We beat Tranmere 2-0 and are back in first place! I have to admit they were the best side at Gigg this season. Looked like a side good enough to be competitive in this division. They gave their all and fought until the very end but were just not good enough to match us from a skill point of view. Two good individual strikes from Kelvin Etuhu and Daniel Nardiello were enough to win us the game this time and now we focus on the JPT game against Morecambe on Tuesday

Sad day really. Best Bolton manager ever. Everyone in this area is sad to see him go as Bolton might come good again.
Keith Hill and Flitcroft linked. Really?!?!
