Because your comment is like a perfect explanation of why some skin authors simply do not release their work for public use.

Without disrespect to the work done, this is not a full-fledged skin, but simply a compilation of several other skins, not always with the authors' permission, white text problems haven't been fixed, which are 99.99% already resolved in the etalon - NY Light FM24 and 3/4 in some other light skins like gaBR Light Skin or FM24 Light, so there would be no problem fixing them here as well. And you say "in my top 3 skins in my FM history," put yourself in the shoes of the authors of the original content used in this compilation.

Personally, I have no desire to do anything to somehow improve a stillborn project, but purely theoretically, it would be interesting to see how lamentable the code is in FM26, because in FM24, to make a light skin, you had to do more than just fix the color config - you had to edit fifteen hundred different files… 

I don't understand what kind of concepts is being referred to. If we disregard the horizontal rather than vertical placement of the  "sidebar"  (which is obviously unacceptable nowadays due to the format of modern displays, regardless of what the idiots who designed FM26 think), I see virtually no differences from the classic look of this page in FM24. Only a large vertical panel, which is typically used to show the league table, has been moved from the left edge to the right, and the Inbox is open there. This can be done in 2 minutes. 

Any decision begins with a correctly posed question. What answer do you want to receive if you are unable to clearly formulate the question?

Do you want a script that will unpack the downloaded content into the correct locations? How will it know where your game data folder is located? Fine. Since you're clearly too incompetent to change it, let's just assume it's sitting in the default location. But how will it know which of the downloaded content is a skin, which is a logopack, and which is a facepack?

The only thing where this approach makes sense is applying a real name fix; scripts handle this perfectly, and personally, I've been doing it exclusively this way for about 5 years.

First of all, there are no skins for FM26 yet, and it seems there won't be. Secondly, if you look closer at FM26, there is no such ID-object as "stadium"; it is just non-clickable text. Accordingly, while there are still questions about the city pack, it is fundamentally impossible to see a photo of the stadium.

yes but why is almost no one talking about one of the main points – almost all the graphics have disappeared from the game; you can no longer see what your opponent's city or stadium looks like, nor what the stadiums of your second and youth teams look like, nor what the cups that someone once won look like. FM has turned into a dull text game from the 80s with a relatively modern 3D match engine attached. No immersion effect into the world, just letters, bugs, and a relatively decent 3D visualization of an absolutely dead tactical engine.

A clarification to cut off inflated expectations: not a skin, but just a slightly changed color theme. Regarding skins, the expectations are: 0 skins with 95% probability, 5% probability that 1-2 skins with meager UI changes will appear closer to next autumn.

Quite expectedly, the author of the compilation, when starting work on the light skin, simply did not understand the scale of the changes that needed to be made and the amount of time required to spend on it. It's a pity, in principle, because it's no longer 2020, and 99.99\% of all the defects and bugs present here in the skin that was essentially taken as a basis have already been fixed for 2-3 years.

Skinning is an incredibly time-consuming thing.

I would like to see a screenshot of the result. Because logic says it will look nightmarishly disgusting. The panels, which look perfect exactly at the current size, will simply be stretched out two-fold.

They say there's no accounting for taste, but honestly, it all looks just awful.

Honestly, I absolutely don't understand what people mean when they say ‘laptop version’.  This only points to the absolute technical illiteracy of the person writing it and provides no information about what you want to achieve. 🥱

this is not a complaint, just stating a fact)) some ideas i like, for example, the match overview popup panel, though it's 50% broken. also, i can't understand why the transition to club overview lags so terribly

It seems to me that with each update, the skin becomes more and more like the one it was based on, plus a certain number of broken panels. 😀
