Hello, when you download the update packs, where shall I extract them? If I extract them to my main facepack folder won't the config file override and make me lose loads of faces?

Apologies if this question has been asked but I've downloaded the city pics to go with the dark roger skin, however the pictures act as a background rather than slotting into the picture frame on the club screen. Can anybody help>
