Watched the video today that explains all about the features/release etc. While some of the features do look interesting, I am also getting the sense (which I've had for awhile now tbh) that the game is getting too in-depth for what is genuinely required. Soon enough it will literally take you real time to progress through games with the way it's turning.

I might play with the demo first and see. At this stage, there's nothing really enticing me.

Hodgson might just pick who he think is better in training?

I don't really get the logic of the whole "who trains better" being selected over someone who's in better form on the pitch, where it counts.

Yeah, but you didn't play in the Champion's League, got knocked out in the 5th round of the FA Cup and after 2 games in the Carling Cup.

You only played 43 games last season compared to 57 for Man City, 56 for Arsenal and 56 for Chelsea.

This.

Plus one needs to factor in how many players were used throughout the season. Larger overall first team squads means more options to rotate compared to those with a smaller first team.

Ozil is woeful unless he is basically played through the middle. He should have been dragged against Chelsea he was that bad. He's that sort of player that if he isn't going to play in his best position, there is literally no point in playing him elsewhere. The quicker Wenger realises this, the better Arsenal will be for it.

Feel a bit for Ronaldo. If he'd played at pretty much any other time in the last 20 years, he'd be head and shoulders above anyone else playing at the time.

Don't think it really diminishes what he's done. He's still far and away the best player in the world right now and certainly has changed the game more than some.

I'm more curious to see how he'll go over the next couple of seasons as he enters his 30's and redefines his game.

Hazard is an absolute joy to watch when he just waltz's past players with such ease.

Excellent result, the only dampener is Tibo and what sort of prognosis comes with his injury.

What an absolute shitful penalty.

Everton showing far too much respect to United and their average defence. They need to press forward more and attack with some purpose.

Because Real Madrid are the only team that have actually shown any interest at all seemingly, and we wouldn't sell. He'll either sign a new contract, or goto Spain. Chelsea don't have a chance of signing him from us.

And no, don't know what the basic wage is. Probably singed a new contract because his old one was on a relatively low wage.

Well, Real Madrid don't need him, nor would he realistically even get a game to begin with. He'd be stupid to move there at this stage. And you'll probably find there's also little reason for any EPL side to show interest just yet, however, if he doesn't sign a new deal and his contact dwindles down further that will most likely change. More so if Liverpool fail to actually do anything, which at this stage they aren't going to come close to the league and possibly not even progress from their CL group.

The deal isn't £150k p/w as the basic pay, that's with all the bonuses added on. Which is fair enough for someone with such a fantastic scoring record as he's had with us.

If Sterling did leave, there's no chance he'd leave to an English club.

Is there any reports of what is basic wage is? If a large portion of it is bonus related then it makes more sense in terms of value. Still don't understand the urge to renew his contact through just yet.

What makes you say that? I think the opportunity to join one of the legitimate EPL title challengers would be enticing. I could certainly see him fitting in nicely amongst the Chelsea setup that's for sure.

Its weird to see how quick Rooney still is and how unwilling he now is to use that pace with the ball at his feet.

Running with the ball and without are two entirely different things. It's no surprise that he's far quicker without than with.

Acceleration is the bigger component with the ball since rarely are long distances covered in a single dribble.

They can't afford to lose him. This summers shown they simply aren't an attractive enough proposition to the sort of players they need to kick on. Their only chance of continued success is by securing the signatures of Sturridge and, later, Sterling and banking on them in the future. If thats by paying them £150,000 a week then thats what they have to do, even if they run the risk of Sturridge not performing without Suarez.

There's also been rumours about Sterling leaving at the end of his contract, so I imagine its as much about starting a new pay hierarchy and showing that their top performers will be rewarded financially in line with other clubs as it is anything else.

Seems like a poor business model to me.

Yes, they cannot afford to lose Sturridge (provided he's fit/performing) but there is realistically minimal chance of him actually leaving at this point in time, so the need to extend his contract for a further year and probably come close to double/tripling his wages in the process seems a little hasty. It's not like he was coming to the end of a contact and power shifted with him. The club still held all the cards. It's a bit of a gamble placed on his fitness.

Sterling on the other hand, I can see leaving. And I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal all looked to entice him away from the club. He would make an excellent alternative to Barkley at a fraction of the price. While also probably being the better player at this point. Any of the top EPL sides would be silly not to go in for him if he doesn't renew his contact.

Definitely worth it to them.

Not really. He still had 4 years left on his current contract.

He's had one decent season. I'd probably be waiting to see if he backs it up/stays healthy enough before giving up £150k pw for another 5 years. Seems the more logical move.

Hope West Ham can nick a point or more though in the second half. 'Mon you Hammers!

He is right to be fair. Apple have released their testing process and they did stress test them. Some phone are defective as is almost always the case and they will be replaced as is always the case.

This is also something android manufacturers have suffered with too.

That doesn't mean that Apple haven't built a phone that has some clear defects though. It's clear that in the process of trying to build a lighter and thinner phone, quality has been compromised in the process due to going with a thinner aluminium design. Which would have all been done at a significantly lower cost. Clearly if you're using such a material that you're going to need to have it at a very specific thickness to combat the sort of bending Apple have encountered.

From all the videos I've seen, they've all bent in some degree with minimal pressure. Given a lot of people carry their phones in their back pocket, sitting on them is going to be one of the main causes. That's concerning enough.

As much as I love my Macbook Pro, I wouldn't buy an iPhone these days, period.

The bend issue is a clear defect in it's construction and material used, which will have all come at a cost. The one thing I've always associated with Apple products is excellent build quality, this isn't remotely shown here.

On another note, also had a laugh at the "Apple wave" hoax going around that let people believe they could charge their phones via sticking it in the microwave haha.

Why would you play Sterling for a full 120 minutes when you've got Everton at the weekend?

Makes no sense.

Rodgers probably knows they have no real chance of winning the league and CC is at least something.

That said, facing Everton up next is a different kettle of fish to any regular fixture.

Much rather have Sterling than Barkley.

Sterling is definitely England's best young prospect.

I'd go as far as saying that the England NT should be built around him already.

I feel that LVG has approached United's issues in the wrong order. More emphasise should have been placed on building a solid defence and foundation that would make them difficult to score against. From there, he could have then added the attacking elements to complement the rest of the side. Instead he opted to do it arse about. Their attack will score goals but if the defence can't keep them out, they'll be spending another season out of Champions League football and possibly more. That's basically what it will boil down too.

As much as it pains me seeing Lampard score against us, at least we still managed something out of the game. Plus, knowing Lampard referred to Man City as "they" and not "we" during his post match interview still warms the heart a little.
