I went Derby away today with Southport, gutted to lose so late and in a cruel way but that’s football. Penalty in the 92nd minute won Derby the game. We sold out the allocation of 2700, Raya Martin was absolutely outstanding and his loan has ended now so he will be back to Blackburn. All the players were outstanding though and us the fans sang our hearts out.

I go New York next week, going to see them play the 76ers!

Great for Warrington Town, I hope they get another home tie in the next round shown on tv. More money for a small club like that, fantastic.

We were so bad second half. No idea why Wiggins fouled Butler at the end.

NBA is back folks. I have watched a few games, Cavs haven’t been too great so far, I am certain it won’t be long before the chemistry improves they’ll be top of the East. Chicago Bulls are my team, played really good against New York but really should of yesterday up 5 inside a minute. OKC having some really bad luck with injuries, no Durant and now no Westbrook either.

Anyway, Bulls at Timberwolves later, gonna get a good look at Wiggins.

I am going New York in a few weeks, 4th time, cant wait. It is my girlfriends first time going New York and I really want to organise a limousine to pick us up.

I went to see Southport last weekend. I had a weekend off in work which doesn’t come about much, decided on going a local-ish non league game. They were playing Welling, I have never been to see Southport before, got to the ground around 2, went around the club shop, bought a scarf to blend in with the ultras, obviously. Stood behind the goal, The Jack Carr Stand. Watched the Southport team warm up, stadium was fairly quiet until about 10 minutes before kick off. Later was told the attendance was just over 1000. Welling had brought a dangerous firm of 15. The first half was pretty much all Welling who had many chances to take the lead. Towards the end of the half, Welling’s goalkeeper went up for a cross to claim the ball only for the Southport striker Brodie to clatter him just after the ball was gone, when getting up from his bruising, the Welling goalkeeper stamped on him, resulting in a red card. Second half, Southport regrouped, they started to create chances with the one man advantage but still struggling to put the ball in the net. The game was still 0-0 into the 4 mins added time, until, neat footwork from Brodie who crossed into the box, for Connor to finish. Right in front of the Jack Carr stand, the yellow ultras went wild. Choruses of YEL-LOW YEL-LOW were loud. Just before the final whistle went, the player-manager Day left his foot in on Brodie, another red card. The final whistle went shortly after this, huge 3 points for the Sandgrounders. I really enjoyed my experience with Southport FC, I will most definitely be travelling to see them again.

Listened to the new MGMT album earlier. Not sure what to make of it really. I loved the first and second album but this feels very experimental.
