The question is: in which file resides the “hard coded json file”?
Could be if we know the location we can use this for Football Manager 2019 and potentially Football Manager 2021.
There are .bin files in the same directory, is it one of these? And how to edit these? With a hex editor I wasn’t able to find anything useful.
Could be good way for future development if SI decides to “hide the json file” for future editing.

Couldn't agree more on this.
Instead of being grateful for the work done and implementing good ideas in their new releases they try to "fight/hide/discredit" things.
Better to have a good working ME in FM 2020 with this, than (potentially) a standard and crappy "regular" match engine in FM2021 and beyond, guess who will play which version ;-)

Sports Interactive must realize that FM 2020 with a superior match engine versus Football Manager 2021 and later with only a “standard match engine” is an easy choice for the real fans.
If this saga continues I will seriously reconsider buying new versions of FM in the future.
If developers don’t listen to users and implement changes that greatly improve the game experience this is a logical reaction.
I’m on FM Korea and FMNation and both have the ME fixes on their site with multiple updates, luckily SI’s influence doesn’t reach that far.
Great work by the creators of this enhancement and hopefully this community will not “bow to the mighty powers” of SI.
SI: you should have patched and updated a “ridiculous” match engine instead of forcing everyone to keep using it.

Thanks for clarifying, I don't think it will be much use in the game as users would have to switch logo's between Champions League matches and other matches with the "regular logo", but here it is as an

Yes I will release update packs periodically, depending on the number of changes.
Not really monthly, as likely during the regular season there wouldn't be too many changes as the number of logo's in this pack is fairly limited, compared some huge packs that contain almost all logo's from almost every team in the game. I was thinking of January/July releases for this, but will keep posting updated logo's in the thread so you can replace/update on the fly.
