1. Download the zipped files
2. Unzip the contents of the folder using an unpacking software tool like 7Zip of Winrar
3. Place The Football Manager Update and other files in \Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\editor data
4. Start Football Manager 26 and start a new career.
5. When selecting your database files, make sure the editor files you want to use are all ticked.
6. Continue and pick Original as your game mode
7. Continue to Advanced Settings
8. Once you have selected your Nations & Leagues you can start your game.

I have already indicated earlier that this issue does not lie with us, but with Sports Interactive, as it is a licensing matter. I have created more than 100 new players, which has required a significant amount of work. In addition, I have also created over 100 new agents, which has taken an enormous amount of time.

Simon Banza not appearing in the game after the update is a decision made by the developers of Sports Interactive. This is related to a licensing issue and is not connected to our updates for Football Manager.

The database V4.0 has been fully optimized, with a wide range of improvements and tweaks implemented to enhance realism and accuracy.

Several new players have been added to the database, including:

The Ajax staff file for Official Football Manager 2026 has been updated to Version 4.0
This new version is now fully compatible with the latest patch (26.3) released by Sports Interactive. The update ensures that the staff file works correctly with the newest game version and maintains full stability after the official patch.

Football Manager 2026 Patch 26.2.0.2276383 - Minor Hotfix Update (Steam)

Sports Interactive have released the 15th hotfix patch for Football Manager 2026, which is the 10th one for the retail version of the game.

This update mainly fixes a crash when using custom databases. Sports Interactive has also resolved the issue where the FMEditor V3 Transfers & Data file was not working correctly, and it now functions normally again.

This might be because you've loaded multiple different database updates, causing the ID numbers to differ. I've used the following files:

FM26 Transfers & Data by FMEditorX V2 (exclusively on our Steam channel)

Yes same ID number.

I tested this extensively well before the release date, and it doesn't pose any problems. The salaries are so low that a top player in the squad is equivalent to an average of 10 employees.

At the moment there are no concrete plans to create a facepack for this, mainly due to a lack of time. Of course, you’re more than welcome to create a facepack yourself and share it with us if you’d like.

The Official Ajax Staff Fix by FMEditorX V2.0 has received a hotfix. Willem Weijs has been added as a coach for Jong Ajax.
