#258609 The Shanghai Nights Adventure [FM15]

So my last season at the club. The aim was to win it all. I had a massive financial backing and was going to ensure that I spent wisely. I had under estimated the pulling power of the league. The league cannot attract big named players so having to look for potential big stars who could contribute right away was the name of the game. So my short stint in Malaysia could be seen as boom or bust in my one full season.
In the league we were a real dominant force. Sides could not handle us. We played a very possession orientated game. To skilled and technical for most sides in Malaysia. Victory over PBDKT was just an example of that. Only once was our defence really tested and that was against Perak. They just managed to assert more pressure on us.
14 clear point margin of victory. Enough said.
Retained the Piala Malaysia cup. By far the best side on display. Should have scored more goals but failed to do so.
Dominated the community shield in Malaysia.
Won the equivalent of the FA Cup. Fantastic achievement. Conquering all we can here in Malaysia.
Took the Asian equivalent of the Europa League. Relatively untroubled and we did fantastically well. Nice to get the victory over former club BEC.
Lots and lots of boys in to ensure we have quality in all positions. Also stopping other clubs in the league having any form of talent in their side. Naughty tactic but a worthwhile one.
Lots of outstanding performances this season. Squad did everything that was asked of them. Fantastic.
Enough money to last this club for generations! Fantastic chairman.
Key Player Profiles:
Mansor the playmaker might not have the best stats but he bossed the league.
The right winger scored over 20 league goals for us. Outstanding effort.
The North Korean man was simply brilliant. Dominated the center of midfield.

Had a play around with it for a few seasons and I must admit it was very enjoyable. If you are stuck and fancy managing in a different country, give this file a shot.

Signing on a Bosman. Something about him. If we have to sell one of the center backs then this guy will be more than ready to step in.

How the youth intake looked. Couple of players that are going to be real stars. Next season they will be looking to get some first team experience. Hopefully with the upgrade in youth facilities more quality players will come through the academy here in Malaysia.

So this is a weird update. I took over the season with three games to go and the Piala Malaysia to compete in. So I have to get the know the squad quickly and make some transfers ready for the new season. This update will be brief.
Strong way to start my career in Malaysia. It has set a marker for the future and is a marker for lot of the other sides. Granted the sides we played were not the strongest but for me to come in, install a total new system of football, whilst bringing in new staff the players did really well. Some real good performances and hopefully this will continue next season.
When I took over we were second and my late push took us to the top. Fantastic and a cheeky title after such a short time in charge. My contract ends next season so will no doubt look to win the league again before moving on.
The end of season cup run went swimmingly. With a slight gap between end of the league and the start of the cup meant I was able to rest and train the players to get familiar with my system. We played outstandingly well and only lack of concentration cost us games against Sime Darby and Pahang. It meant I would be competing for a cup fairly soon after moving to Malaysia.
Needed extra time but in reality we were the far more dominant side and we should have won it in normal time.
Key Player Profiles:
Not enough time with the squad to decide.

My contract ends at the conclusion of the 2028 season. The aim is to go and win the league again and challenge for the AFC Cup ... the Asian equivalent to the Europa League as such. The North Korean sides are the dominant side in this competition so our success there will be determined by how we deal with the boys from North Korea.

Leaving Brisbane after three years was all apart of the plan. I said judge me after three years and I think you can say I did ok. The last season you can take in two ways, success domestically but on the continent a bit of a failure. I would like to add that I did apply for the national jobs of Australia and South Korea, but failed to get an interview at either. Then a real cool job in Saudi Arabia came up with Al-Shabab, for those who may not know, they are one of the major producer of Saudi talent in the country. I know they will come calling back. They tend to have a good turnover of managers. However my focus is on Johor Darul Ta'zim. A fantastic opportunity to come into a new country and compete for the league straight away. Lots of money and a chairman who is willing to look after the club is a brilliant bonus.
History of the Club
Johor Darul Ta'zim FC or easily known as JDT, is a football club based in Johor Bahru, Johor. The club was founded in 1972 (as PKENJ FC) and currently plays in the top division in Malaysian football, the Malaysian Super League. The club is owned by Johor Football Association. In 2014, JDT gained their first major honour by winning the 2014 Malaysia Super League.
Club Profile - The club has been on top of its game in Malaysia really from the start of this journey. Rarely dipping out of the top spots. The chairman shows loyalty to its managers but if things go wrong then they tend to fire the bullet on them. The aim is to push for league honours with three games remaining of the season. The club prior to hiring me went on a short run of victories to really put themselves into a good position.
General Info - Predicted to finish 1st and I must do just that. This is why this job will be straight forward. This journey is not about completing leagues or whatever but rather sampling some countries that I would never manage in before. This job is going to be brief, until I can find another suitable project elsewhere.
Manager Profile - Things are improving slowly. Bars I have decided to to pay much attention too. I was very loyal to players with the Roar so I am surprised to see it so low there. Same goes for the stats. I pay little attention to them. What is the point? I am very adaptable and I do tend to work with youngsters very well. So naturally disappointed to see these so low.
Facilities - Stadium is of a decent size and adequate facilities. The chairman has promised to upgrade them and I am looking forward to seeing the improved versions shortly.
Squad The squad has some good players, the foreigners are not up to standard so they will be shipped out when I can. I have earmarked some players but whether they will fit in with me here is another matter. There are some little regen gems here. Looking forward to see if I can add them in to boost this mighty fine squad.
Staff - Staff needs investing in heavily. In the process of doing this.
Finances - Quite the jump there. This chairman knows how to role.

Cheers Johno. Surprised is not the word. Since I took the job I was odds on for the sack. Love my time there mind. Despite the board.
Aye should be fun, hopefully can attract. No point having all that money and nothing to buy.
Cheers fella.

So here it is ...Johor Darul Ta'zim or JDT for short. Really excited by the prospect of this club. Lots and lots of money and a club who play in a league where the standard is not always the best. Yet the chairman is keen to pump money into the club to improve it. Recently they have had some success but not consistently. Last season they won the league but a string of poor performances has seen them sack their manager and install me as their new boss. I am really looking forward to this.

After Melbourne sacked their boss, I didn't think anything of the news until I saw that I was mentioned in the odds. I dunno if this was some kind of sick joke but I went to investigate it a little further.
Says I am very secure, so I couldn't understand why I was mentioned for the chop. But for not much longer it was not going to bother me. I was set to move on with my Asian adventure.
