@MJC17  Please give the exact steps you've taken otherwise it's impossible for anyone to tell you were you've gone wrong.

There is definitely a config.xml in the rar file.

2026.00 will work with all versions FM05-FM26.

Update files from 22/23/24/25 etc won't, so you still need to restart from 2026.00

Its there, read the instructions on the download page you can change your settings permanently to switch to the old version.

You do not need to redownload logos or kits.

Did you restart more than once? I had once instance where restarting once in FM26 didn't work but the second time did.

Also remember for FM24 you still have to reload the cash in the preferences.

@timho1028 if that's right that would be a bug. Let me check. As always it's really helpful if you give specific players and teams to help me look things up faster. The more detailed you make error reports, the easier it is for someone who is trying to help you.

@conway970 are you aware that I attached a zip file containing updated configs in the first post? Are you saying that these don't work? If so can you please provide more information.

I can confirm that you can delete the iconfaces folder if you're only using FM26

No as per the first post, trying to update from 2025 will be broken, it's easier to start at 2026.00

The config file is in the first comment if you've renamed manually 

If you are attempting to rename them yourself without downloading you will need this updated config.xml

If you have redownloaded the 2026.00 complete pack you can ignore this attachment.

This is a bug in FM26 where two files can't have the same name, as reported here. So far SI have refused to acknowledge it or fix it, our plan is to release a completely new version of the pack with all renamed files on December 1st, although that will mean breaking updates for everyone unfortunately.

@Matt Wyatt and  @Amar Sachdeva that's fixed now, really sorry about that!

Sorry I didn't check that properly, you're right the free agent is the same player, i've fixed that now with a normal submission and removed the created person from FM26.

It looks like someone accidentally linked that Luis Silva from Lleida with this one.

I've removed that link now so he will be in future FM26 updates.

No the two files are identical, i'm not sure what you mean about it being more recent?

For team names did you install the real name fix?

Populating older submissions is on my todo list but probably a few weeks away.

@Davi Pontes If you make ability submissions on the site they'll apply to both of our updates.

We can't just take FM26 attributes and put them into FM24.

@Emphasis It should be that you only have to make one submission. If you think there's something you can't do at the moment please give specific examples and i'll look into what might be needed.

@tjc apologies the FM24 is getting refreshed so that it works from the same submissions as FM26 and I accidentally published a test build (that isn't working yet) to the live FM24 update.

It should be fixed now.

Does fmxml prefix each ID with r- ? I don't think it does therefore it won't work. In FM26 recreated players need to have their ID's prefixed with “r-”

This is why I said it's important to explain what you're doing so people helping you can point out where you're going wrong.

I would really appreciate it if you could be considerate of mine and other mods time and put in the minimal the effort to describe your problems in detail. If you're asking people to help you the absolute minium you could do is make it as easy as possible for them to help you. You made 12 separate comments without mentioning that you're trying to use “fmxml” despite repeated requests to be explicit in describing your situation.

For that reason i'm going to stop helping you now and wish you best of luck figuring this out yourself.

Again i'm not sure what “reload the configuration” means. Do you mean you edit the config.xml in a text editor?
