A new update called 2026.01 was just published which will confuse some people.

To keep it really, really simple just take one of these two steps.

1. If you have already downloaded "2026.00 complete" in December: Download the 2026.01 changes file
2. If you haven't, then delete all previous faces and download “2026.01 complete”

If you're getting confused or your files are in a mess, just follow (2).

if you still find things difficult you're overcomplicating it, just follow (2) exactly and don't try and add extra steps.

Updates will be released monthly as normal.

The next step would just be to wait until 2026.01 and install as normal.

Yes all you need is the 2026.00 complete pack. It contains everything you need.

You only need the complete pack you do not need the 800mb changes pack.

If you've tried to apply the 800mb update pack to an old complete pack then it won't work unless you rename all the files yourself.

(2) Provide more information about your setup. Do you definitely only have the 2026.00 complete pack installed? Are you using fm24 or fm26? If fm24 have you reset the cache, it FM26 have you restarted at least twice?

@Miky51cz can you confirm you definitely have enough disk space on your computer and that your computer isn't going to sleep and causing the timeout?

I've just done a very quick update copying which leagues are playable over from FM24, but this won't include the newly playabale leagues yet or womens

I've haven't had the time to go through and set which leagues are “playable” yet, there's no way to export this from the game so it has to be done manually by just looking at the start screen.

I'll get it on asap.

@Justsomeguy unfortunately it's not currently possible to add new positions for existing players via our online system, but we are working on a new version to make this possible.

Also please try and make things easier for other people by linking to the player on this site rather than posting random images and making people type out the name and find the player for themselves.

No not for FM26, but we include it still since so many people are playing FM24.

Not until the Pre Game Editor is updated and so far it hasn't been.

If you are struggling the easiest thing to do is delete them all and just download and install the 2026.00 complete pack, that has everything.

Otherwise there is nothing you need to delete.

@Alvin Immanuel are you starting a new game today or yesterday on the new BETA track? If so, the wonderkid facepack won't work, you would have to wait until the main game is updated on the 8th.

That isn't affected by this change.

It also went work with the beta that was released yesterday if you're using that.

This is not currently working with the 26.1.0 update. I've left the original text in a spoiler below, but we need to wait for SI to update the pre game editor.

Do not try and edit our files to add players, it will break updates and be slow because of the huge file size.

Just create a new folder with your custom changes e.g.

graphics/sortitoutsi/faces/config.xml < LEAVE INTACT

graphics/my_custom_faces/config.xml < CREATE YOURS

You said the “The new config file don't work for FM24". Of course it won't, because we've renamed all the files, please reread the first post and follow the instructions.

I can see from your download history that you have not downloaded 2026.00 as instructed, please do so before telling people it doesn't work or offering alternatives.

I don't think you've followed the instructions. I can see your most recent downloads here and you have not downloaded the complete pack. Only the changes pack.

You need to download the complete pack and start again.

Unless of course you've tried to rename the files yourself or using the FMM Loader, but you haven't stated that you have tried either.

Yea you can delete 2026.01 and 2026.02 they are not needed. Everything is in 2026.00

As per the first post they've been merged into the new 2026.00 so you don't need those anymore.

All you need is the new 2026.00 complete pack, nothing else.

There's 500,000 players

If you're counting both faces and iconfaces then yes 1 million.

If you are only counting only faces then no that's twice as many.

Make sure not to merge otherwise you'll still have the faces that named the ID without the “face_” prefix.

@timho1028 I can see your recent downloads on this page and it says you haven't downloaded our Data Update since November 30th.

How can you tell me that it's still happening if you haven't redownloaded the file?

@Daemon778777 it looks like this was back in June? It's not possible to refund after 90 days and they look like original sign ups, not renewals.

My only guess would be that it didn't download or extract properly? Can you tell me how many files you have and what size the directory is in bytes?

Fixed the competition logo issue.

If you click the guides tab at the top it will list all the sections as far back as FM24

@Dan Lauszkin i'm not seeing this issue. Can you share your “editor data” folder to help debug.

@timho1028  This should be fixed shortly after I posted that I was investigating. Are you saying it's still happening?

e.g. Taishi Okamura is definitely labelled as Japanese now
