Seems the 26.2 update broke something again regarding to the history shown for staff roles through editor files. Doesn’t matter which Ajax file you use, either from here or from somewhere else, certain staff members have their most recent role wrongly displayed in their history 😅

Stupid question maybe, but since i’m always just blindly installing this fix lol, what exactly does the bookmakers file do? Just change the names to real bookies?

Hmm I'm not able to find him anywhere in the game or in the editor actually. Maybe SI will put him in the database for the winter update, but I guess he won't show up as a staff member anyway because of the licensing thingy

Regarding the Ajax staff file in the future:

As per Februari 1st 2026, Jordi Cruijff will be the new Technical Director of Ajax replacing Alex Kroes. Cruijff has signed a contract until June 30th 2028.

You know, being 35 years old right now, I'm playing the game since ‘01. Not that it validates something, but I have come to be pretty familiar over time with the add ons and how to correctly install them. That’s also why I litterally have never had any problems with the fixes or facepacks you guys provide.

When playing the game, the only things I use are the real names fix, a logo pack and often the cutout facepack. I don't even bother using anything else because i'm afraid it could mess the game up too much. (apart from using Daveincid's realism files for fm24 which have proven to be both good and stable throughout very long saves, but I deliberately avoid them for now until the game is in a very good and stable state in the future)

So yeah, when getting such replies after taking the time to write several extensive bug/crash reports and handing them over my saves, it feels a bit harsh. Because crashes are still happening to me even when I just play the base game without a single add on or pack whatsoever. 
 

But like you said, you can't hold it against them no. They have to bear with a lot of stupidity and short sightedness nowadays and still they are expected to fix everything which might not even be a fault on their end.

Bugs me a bit that the standard answer from si now when encoutering bugs or crashes revolves around deleting all custom files and verifying game files. 
So essentially all the hard work from everyone in here to provide the license fix which makes the game feel real, gets shot down as one of the factors that makes the game crash. 

Basically we better not use any of the files to enhance the game like a license fix or logo/kit pack 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe for future reference:

I've seen that both John Heitinga and Marcel Keizer from the Ajax staff appeared as a duplicate within the game after the Ajax staff fix. I've managed to solve this by deleting both the entries for them through the PGE, and just used the original ID's already present for them and added Ajax and their respective roles on their profile. This fixes them not appearing as duplicates anymore 🙂

Edit: I've also seen that the previous non-playing roles in the staff's history aren't shown as ‘Player’ anymore, so that's a good thing that they seem to have fixed now.

Is there maybe a possibility that the first team coaching-, scouting- and medical staff of the Ajax staff file can be updated according to this link?

Pretty weird that this is also showing the club short name then, iirc this wasn't the case in previous fm's was it? Clicking on a club always showed the club long name right?

 

Why are there actually such big differences in how the names are displayed between the standard names from the game itsself and the real name fix?
