So much hate for Thatcher here is misguided. Nobody here would want to go to 1979 and live in the politics back then and a large part of the beneficial change is down to Thatcher. She had tough decisions to make and she made them for the greater good. A controversial and combative politician was always going to be made a scapegoat by those who are unsuccessful due to their own errors in life. Also, she was tough on terrorism, which was a major part in UK politics in the 80s and probably the most important thing for me.

How Pique, Dani Alves and Marcelo got in that team is beyond me. Pique was unable to get into the Barcelona side for most of the start of the year as his defensive frailties were seen all too often, especially against Osasuna. Kompany should have got that place. I would have had Jordi Alba ahead of Marcelo even in La Liga team of the year and I didn't see much Bundesliga but Lahm never fails to impress in the games I see.

Also KL, I would have the Spanish league as the best league in the world but it isn't that dominant. The bad teams usually have a few good ball-players unlike the Premiership but defensively they are nowhere near as good and it really does make the top two/three teams look better than they are.

i hope someone of those is going to sue you.
making such claims without proof is just criminal.
What is the intention behind this?
Just behavin childish because you are not able to grow up?
Im really pissed off at such childish, no its not childish, this is criminal, because you are a grown up person, behaviour.
I really hope you are in psychological treatment because you are not a grown up and mature human member of society, posting things like that.

Defamation is civil, not criminal. Why would someone sue people on this site? What are they going to get? Nothing. Only sue rich people or companies.

Was a time when people said that about Hart though, not all English players end up the same.

I think that cements my point. Hart is not as good as people say. People in the media saying he is the best in the world, absolute joke. Not even top 10. Good keeper, not outstanding.

I'd hate to see Reina leave, as since we've got him he's been our best keeper for god knows how long, feels safe with him at the back but he's been poor for a while now and if we can get a good amount of cash for him I wouldn't mind him going. Plus Butland would be a very good investment, could potentially be here for 10+ years.

Make up your mind! Butland is shit btw. Typical overrated young English player that will be strangled and unable to fulfill his potential.

Yeah Koryo Tours organises trips to North Korea. North Korea really isn't a threat, they will keep themselves known to the outside but won't do anything mad (to the outside anyway). All the madness will be kept inside.

Whilst the protest is over the top it was always going to happen by the actions taken by Belfast City Council. They say that they need to stop flying the union flag in the interests of equality. How is that equality? Diminishing the culture of more than half of the people that live in Northern Ireland is not equality. There was a consultation in Belfast before the decision was made and both sides of the community stated that the status quo should remain.

Sinn Fein are a party founded upon hatred, it has seen one of their ministers being found to have acted with religious discrimination in a job application and they continue to give public positions to those who have carried out killings and who do not have the credentials to act in such a position. They want a border poll, which would be a waste of public money, on the basis that the overwhelming majority of people in NI (which includes a significant amount of Catholics) want to retain the status quo. They have no policies regarding real issues and that's why they have to resort to these classical issues. They have been in charge of Education for the past decade and it is now in disarray. They were in charge of Regional Development and the Water service went tits up. The members elected have no credentials, they don't know how to make the economy work, they don't have a clue about education, health, development.

The idea of respect has to work on both sides, instead of dealing with real issues and problems they have brought this flag issue to the forefront. I actually don't care whether the flag has to fly all year round or not. I care about it being made into an issue of equality, which it is not. Imagine it happened in a different city, like London or Dublin were the people said they weren't British/Irish and said they didn't want the flag to be flown on that basis. It's madness. The flag of the country should just fly and if the constitutional issue is changed then the flag should change. But equality requires that it be done...

Robert Mugabe and Laurent Gbagbo are Christians. The fact that people like Assad are fighting and killing their own people is to do with power and retaining it. It has nothing to do with religion.

Palestinians chose Hamas. They knew Hamas wanted to continue offensive with Israel. Hamas knew constant rocket fire would provoke. Israel reacts. Hamas declares war. War leads to civilian deaths *shocker*. Blame lies with Israel. Wow I could not have predicted that.

Perhaps those who support the Palestinian movement should have a look at who is 'defending' Palestine rather than look at Israel. I'm not saying Israel is perfect but when it is distilled down to the bare facts Hamas are not the real defenders of the Palestinian people, they are catalysts to more Palestinian deaths.

It works both ways. You say Israel intervene because of attacks from Hamas, but you could quite easily spin it as Hamas reacting to consistent provocations from Israel.

It's clearly a huge grey area. Neither side can claim innocence, but I guess it boils down to who owes what whom and who's more justified in their actions. I don't know enough about it to back one side or another, but what Israel are doing now is horrific. Saddens me that innocent children are being slaughtered in all of this. It's just a complete mess I only hope that something can be done to reduce the civilian casualties.

I understand that neither side is innocent. However, are Israel's actions horrific? I would say that there actions now are more justified than their non-offensive methods of curtailing attacks. The difference between Hamas and Israel is that Hamas attacks the public at large on purpose, Israel on the other hand attacks places that are likely to be used against Israel and people who want to harm Israel and its citizens. Hamas knows how to play the system, they stay in areas that are full of innocent people to ensure that if they are struck the news story will come out that Israel has killed X amount of people. Israel's attacks are by no means and are far from the best, they do it on the basis that they are protecting their soldiers etc because a ground offensive would be more likely to attack the threats of Hamas but of course that will put Israeli soldiers at a greater threat.

I'll go back to the original question though, what's the likely outcome of all of this? Nothing. It will reach a height, probably now or in a few days (I don't see it lasting much longer than that) then it will calm down a bit more and it will happen all over again in about a year or two.

Without having to resort to the history of the whole conflict and sticking purely to this recent conflict it is hard to disagree with Israel on their basis for retaliating. The media here only ever really note the Israel-Palestine conflict when Israel gets involved and fail to mention the attacks from Hamas that happen and Israel don't respond. Hamas need to know, for the people they seek to protect, that if they keep firing rockets they will get a response from Israel, like any normal country should respond. I know that if let's say we in NI were getting rocket attacks from the south I would totally expect my country to defend us and respond to those attacks. The other thing is that at the beginning of the Israeli response Hamas stated that they had opened the gates to hell and they declared war. When they declare war they are making it self-evident that they expect a more than fleeting offensive to be initiated by Israel. They can't then turn round and say oh look how bad Israel are by attacking us even though we declared war with them. The situation in Palestine is terrible and a significant part of it being so bad is the actions of Hamas, they endanger the people they seek to protect.

On economic issues I would be seen as right wing but on social issues I'm probably seen as quite leftist on the basis that liberalism underpins my whole thought.
