On this subject how come there are so many blank portraits? Some have regen faces and some don't - why is this anyone know?

Check staff responsibilities and make sure your GK coach isn't offering any advice the Ass. manager should. You can specify who offers what advice. I'm not sure if that will help but it's worth checking.
