Yeah just had a MITB between my CAW, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Jericho, Mysterio and Triple H. Went for a good 40 minutes I nearly had the case down fucking Eddie knocks me off Jericho climbs up and steals it. Prick.

It's a mix of both GM and career. You can set rosters, create shows, vacate and give titles to superstars, set rivalries and edit match cards. You can also play every matchup as well.

It has the potential to be huge the only thing lacking is substance to it's rivalries, there are quite a few cutscenes that make things interesting however they only occur before, during and after matches. So no promos, or backstage stuff. If 2K can do half of what they have done with their NBA games then I don't doubt this will all be in there sooner or later. There are some bugs as well and also the booking can sometimes make you say what the??

Then again it is still a THQ/Yukes game so we won't see 2K's stamp on until 15 or even 16.

I actually started my first universe by creating a TNA show as well and filling that with all downloadable CAW's but it got messy and was just too much, so I stuck to just RAW and Smackdown and cut the rosters down and then slowly debut new superstars/CAW's. My universe is very interesting atm and has really added to replayablilty. I found some sliders on the net with the difficulty set to legend some matches are a challenge and some are easy. Can also change the match length to short, normal and epic. I have had some real corkers on epic match length but these can last 15-20 minutes sometimes longer.

Attitude era was awesome, 30 years of Wrestlemania missed some great matches but not a bad mode for nostalgia none the less.

I am really enjoying Universe mode though. In my second year and have had some fun with different "story lines" I have created in my head.

I have played out the real life Shield and Rhodes feud for the Tag Titles with the Rhodes currently holding on to it. They feuded for about 3 months before they lost the titles in a new feud to the returning New Age Outlaws and then won them back.

Christian and Jericho was one of my favorite rivalries for the Heavyweight Championship with Christian hanging onto it before losing it to Rey Rey at the Rumble.

Sting made his first appearance in WWE after the rumble and feuded with Taker till Wrestlemania where he lost before they formed a tag team to take on the Shield.

Rey beat Cena for both the Heavyweight and WWE Championships when I changed it to a unified title and cross branded them. Rey is currently feuding with Orton for the Undisputed title and I will eventually have Evolution form again to take on the NWO who will debut at Wrestlemania.

Loving the game despite it's glitches and shortcomings. Can't wait to see what 2K do once they make the game their own.

Great start mate, as a Liverpool fan it's good to see someone doing well with them. I myself always start with them on every new FM, got sacked not long into the season because I was trying to much with the tactics system.

I'm at my wits fucking end with FM14. The new tactics setup has made it impossible to play..

Finally got the full game and got sacked from Liverpool after like 13 games, I was trying to be too fancy with the new tactics system and utilizing as much as possible. Got the QPR job, went for a simple 4-4-2 with minimal shouts and it is working a treat. Currently 3rd.

Yeah Swann was pretty poor, Root managed to get some dip and turn, trouble a few times, Anderson bowled some unplayable balls but they were few and far between.

Must say I've fallen back in love with Haddin, I didn't want him anywhere near the side earlier in the year but he just keeps proving me wrong.

We should just put 10 bowlers and Haddin in the side FFS. Top order can't score runs and it's always one or two of the tailenders who make big 50's, Mitch Johnson has the ability to get a ton too.

Over getting home from work to see us at 6 for 100 to be then bowled out for near 300 cause the blokes who are in the side to bowl outbat the specialist batsmen.

Yeah if I have a poor DoF or HOYD then I will take over the finding of youth myself, if they have high attributes for judging players etc then I will let them find the players but contracts are always finalized by myself.

As I said though most of the time I just go with my gut on players despite the report.

He also said he had a really good start to the season, implying wins. Whereas you have not. I was going to stay out of this but Crane is 100% right.

You can't expect to do everything the same way every single FM and be a superstar at it. I know I can't do what I have in FM13 in FM12 because it just won't work. I was absolutely gobshite at FM09 but have done some remarkable things in FM13 (look at my careers to see what I am talking about)

So far in 14 I have notice the difference to 13, but I am taking the time to watch the match engine, to learn the things that work and don't work and adapt my game around it. Not do the same thing for the same teams in every FM.

Played a couple of months of this and have to say it is a lot easier to find information, add players to shortlists etc but I'm not liking the fact that your team isn't highlighted when looking at the table or the fixtures. Anyone else slightly annoyed by this?

On another note I do like the extra detail the opposition match reports give such as what fixture they are weakest against and when goals are scored and conceded right on your news feed, however I think you would have to play at least through half - a full season for this to be really useful in terms of setting tactics.

How have your matches gone so far? Very mixed pre-season, a 5-4 win over PSG, a 5-0 loss to Atletico Madrid. Two losses to league one teams. I've lost to Southampton 1-0 but beaten Fulham 2-1 in the league.
Who have you bought? So far only Jack Butland, one of the philosophies thrust onto me by the board was to sign young players.
What tactics are you using? ATM experimenting with a 4-1-2-2-1, garners a lot of possession but chances are almost always wasted. Still getting used to the tactics system now so am gonna actually view full games to suss out the match engine a bit better and hopefully develop something as successful as my Southampton tactic in FM 13 currently.
