Well unfortunately I couldn't say no to this. The money was just too good, his contract was up in 6 months and he had no interest in signing a new one. He was a good servant for us and was having a very good season so far as a rotation option.

So at the halfway stage and things are looking rosey thanks in part to results like the Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd wins. Gilson has struggled to replicate his form from last season but I almost expected that, the good thing is that the goals are being shared around by the other players now. Adnan is having an absolute ripper of a season so far and is adding goals to his assists now. Our defence is also much better then previous season and I put that down to my 2 new fullbacks.

The plan for the rest of the season is to secure champions league, nothing else matters, well tbh I'm lying a bit there, obviously if in a position to win some cups I will.

We drew Tottenham in the FA Cup with that game to be played in a few days.

The 4peat isn't really something I set out to do at the start of the season, like last season I have been using a rotated squad but if I get past Chelsea I may look to send out full strength teams in a bid for the 4th straight league cup.

http://i62.tinypic.com/rw0wsh.jpg

After the first two results I used a slightly rotated squad as I was pretty much guarenteed qualification in an easy group. Wouldn't mind adding another Europa league to my collection, it all depends on how the league is looking. If I somehow look like not qualifying for Champs league through the league I will focus on winning the Europa.

A lot of 7's in there which you want in your team, with everyone pitching in. Even the rotation players are hitting 7 averages which is amazing. I've actually decided to drop Gilson for form reasons, he only has so many goals purely based on the amount of shots he has, hopefully it's the kick up the ass he needs and he can fire again in the back end.

On the outs Christie is headed to Newcastle for £1m and hopefully that is the only business I do this window.

They could have had Rooney and Falcao upfront.

That's actually quite depressing when you think about it, and that's coming from a guy who supports a team who has Ings lol.

Yeah the last couple minutes were quite interesting, end to end stuff but I've also been flicking between that and the Jets-Miami game.

This is the problem in Serbia, the names are so similar;

Perovic; my loanee AMRLC, FC
Petrovic; my former AML wonderkid who has struggled post-injury (but actually has now hit form)

Apologies I have had a long day of drinking lol. I saw you say from 3rd string AML to striker and immediately thought of the injured player.

To think you doubted Perovic after his injury, all he needed was that confidence boost of you starting him as a striker lol

This guy was transfer listed at Barca and scouts rate him at 3.5 stars. Can cover both flanks which is where I am looking to strengthen.

Wanted this guy last season but City wanted 90m plus for him. Kept scouting, kept declaring interest and he wasn't playing many games for City. Snagged him for £6m. I now have a very good 1 and 2 goalkeeper.

Again going to keep expectations low, knowing that if Gilsons goals dry up at the rate we concede we could struggle.

Quite a bit of rotation early in the season, most players getting 10 plus appearances. Most of the starting lineup and a few rotation players averaging over 7 which is what you want to see from your team. Standouts clearly Gilson and Cubas.
