He is still working on it, last time the file was updated was 20/10, Mons said he was going out so I am guessing it will be done after 20:00. 

Beta will still work, the next release has a lot more name fixes and corrections that are not possible during beta, as you need the pre game editor to create these fixes. Why people are waiting for the updated fix.

Need to add the real name fix to the new patch for launch yes, Every time they do a major version patch need to add the real name fix but when it is just a hotfix patch you don't 

He will be adding the editor data which will fix the Brazil club names and matches the right colours to the right clubs in Brazil and a few places, if you are not fussed about that start a new save.
