Whoops an oversight from me. Earlier in the year the search moved to a 3rd party tool that database needs to be updated as well and I just totally forgot.

 

It's building now and should be up to date 5-10 minutes after I post this.

Once FM24 is released, I'm looking for some help to rename no-ID images to their in-game UID. I've got an online folder full of them. If anyone is interested in helping out to do so, in whatever capacity, just let me know 👍

Just thought I'd let you know the image in the “sortitoutsi_cutout_megapack_2024.00_changes” file for the new Spurs striker Alejo Veliz (ID 3104065) is incorrect. I have attached the incorrect file and the correct one for your comparison.

I've noticed that La Liga has some decent quality images for cutouts on their site (ie https://www.laliga.com/en-GB/player/carlo-ancelotti), but opening the images will either reveal a 256x278 or 512x512 image depending on where you click on them, even though they are really stored at 2048x2048, you just have to make a couple adjustments to the URL (more than changing the dimensions). For the most part I see people have been submitting the 2048x2048 ones but I've noticed a couple ones which aren't, and I imagine it must be annoying for everyone to manually edit the URL (although maybe people are just finding the 2048x2048 ones on Google).

@Lebohang Mokoena Just to be clear, I wasn't putting incorrect information to be aesthetically pleasing. I thought something was wrong? In actuality, this is REALLY bad practice from the Croatian FA allowing something like this to slide; contract end dates should be enforced for the player's nation, to prevent issues where due to FIFA rulings, they wouldn't even be able to sign for their own nation. If I'm not mistaken. Say the FA allowed a player to end their contract after the Winter Transfer Window ends (say Feb 28th), they wouldn't be able to sign (in the sense of being able to play) for another Croatian club until the Summer Window opens.

Oh okay then if that's coming from the official source then that must be the case.

 

I don't think that CTxCB is intentionally putting in wrong dates for aesthetic reasons. I think he genuinely thought that transfermarkt was wrong.

 

My initial impression was the same to be honest, I thought that every league/country had dates that finished on the same date.

 

If there are more instances like this we should probably make that clearer alongside the dates that are listed on the submission page.

@Footygamer I think it would make sense to change the direction on the edit page to “Please add all REAL DATES (except in cases where the day and month of their contract expiry does not match that of the Playing Nation in the Contract Dates section). Do not try and modify dates based on the game start date, the system will do that itself.” –- I think standardizing everything based on how FM does new contracts for clubs, is more important and aesthetically pleasing than realism, and that then also removes the need for people to unnecessarily add comments justifying the edit.

@Lebohang Mokoena So you want me to respect Transfermarkt's date of June 15th, and not the "reference for contract start and end dates for each nation". Thought you guys would be trying to standardise contract changes with FM, and not trying to actively work against it. 🤣🤣
