Need to make sure we're solid when we lose the ball or we're going to get bummed on the counter. All season we haven't looked good at all in transition and Spurs are a team that would thrive against it.

So The Master was even better a second time. Bobber what did you make of the ending?

Specifically Freddie and Lancaster's final meeting. I kinda took the whole film to be almost a romance story between the two of them, and the final meeting was Dodd almost telling Freddie to go and be free to save him from eventual trouble if he stayed with the Cause. Still not totally sure what the end scene with the girl was, but I think its probably him giving into his animal nature but at the same time using the things he learnt from Dodd to keep himself calm, or something. I'm still processing that one.

And Amy Adams character is still really intriguing to me. To me it seemed like she was the main driving force of the Cause, that she was the one who ultimately kept them pushing forward with Dodd being the charismatic 'poster boy' to see it through. A lot of layers and intensity in her performance.

Such a fucking good film, so rich in ideas and themes, I'm really glad I got to see it again. Wish I could have seen it on 70mm, bet it would have looked stunning. Love Greenwood's soundtrack too, it seems to shift and morph throughout.

Same team that played Swansea tonight, Downing vs Bale/Lennon could be interesting unless him and Enrique swap positions

At least Downing is relatively quick, and I'm not too worried if Enrique tracks help to help out.

Big game tonight, anything other than a loss is a good result imo.

Can we have a moratorium on the word 'stamped'? I prefer 'trod on'.

I saw End of Watch too, thought it was pretty solid really. The two leads are really good together, and the action was fairly intense at times. I also liked that it didn't really have a story as such, was just some guys being cops.

Seeing The Master again shortly \o/

A pantomime villain really is the best way to describe him.

Other than a tyrannical racist monster, according to some.

I'd just be happy to see an acceptance of his cuntishness, without trying to defend him in the same post.

Of course he's a cunt, but he's our cunt, so I'll defend him all I like.

Suarez is just a clumsy bitch. Look at the way he dribbles, I'm surprised he can run in a straight line.

I don't think the booing was 'in the minority' today either, from all accounts it sounds like thousands of people were doing it.

Liverpool hire 'expert on common sense'
Peters will work one day a week at Liverpool's Melwood training ground

Liverpool have appointed Steve Peters, the sports psychologist credited with helping to transform the fortunes of British cycling, to work with manager Brendan Rodgers and his team.

Peters, whom Bradley Wiggins called "a world expert on common sense", will work one day a week at Liverpool's Melwood training ground in addition to his commitments with UK Athletics.

"As a manager, it can be a lonely business when you are trying to drive the club forward," said Rodgers as he prepared to return to Swansea, where, despite his achievements at the Liberty Stadium, he may not receive a warm reception.

He confirmed that Peters's work would not just be confined to Liverpool's players but extend to his own backroom staff. "It is nice to have a different set of eyes and experiences," Rodgers said. "I do a lot of technical, tactical and physical training and sometimes what gets bypassed is the mental thing for players, especially in the modern game at the top level."

Peters worked with mentally ill patients at Rampton Hospital before turning his attention to sport and has had limited involvement in football, although Craig Bellamy employed him in a personal capacity and credited him with an upswing in form that helped him take Liverpool to last season's League Cup final. Bellamy said that Peters's work stresses becoming not a better footballer but a more rational person, who can think more clearly under pressure.

Rodgers said: "I have always worked with neurologists, who are not just about sport but life, really. Sometimes, having someone independent to support you is good.

"We have brought in someone who is one of the leading guys in the world in what he does – and it is a real coup for us."

Anybody got any experience with either of the Nexus tablets? Thinking recently of getting a tablet for reading and easier browsing etc and thought that these looked more affordable, but I don't know anybody who has one. The 7 looks nice and easy but the the 10 I'd probably use for more things like watching TV and junk.

Silver Linings Playbook.

Really well acted, the characters were interesting, but I kinda wish the story had slightly more 'pop'. Still really liked it though.

Yeah I don't like them at all but Stoke aren't really the same. As a team they're aggressive but they don't really go about trying to cause injury, they're just rough. There's a few of them like Huth, Wilkinson and Adam but they've always been dirty players and they do get called for it, despite not playing for the mighty Liverpool Football Club.

The main thing for me is that make Suarez worse is that, if Stoke are on the receiving end of a foul they usually take it well and carry on without much fuss, as it's all part of their image. Suarez is the complete opposite, he dishes it out regularly but any sort of movement near him and he's screaming and rolling about, so the fact he's doing that and also going about hurting people makes him more of a cunt.

DISCLAIMER: THIS ISN'T A BLIND DEFENCE OF SUAREZ. DISCLAIMER OVER.

I actually think on the diving front he's been better since the Stoke game. He's still not exactly a hard man but his theatrics have been reduced I think. His reactions were getting to the stage where he'd get fouled but not get it because of the way he goes down, and thankfully he seems to have improved that side of his game (for now).

Fine, well if you're so intent on always going on about Suarez then don't get pissy when Liverpool fans bite, I'll just say that.

Watched The Dark Night Rises, the re-watch really only strengthened the impressions I got when I saw it at the cinema.

Anne Hathaway is absolutely mesmerising.

The bar scene is brilliant. The turn from control to panic is amazing.

Watch it again. I loved it even more the second time.

"You know how to get rid of crabs?"
"No.."
"You gotta shave one testicle.. and all the crabs go over to the other testicle.. you gotta light the hair on fire on that one, and when they all go scurrying out you take an icepick AND YOU FUCKING STAB EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF THEM"

Yeah I want to see it again if I can. Lots to delve into.

I fucking loved Freddie's first processing session, that scene was incredible.

Similar situation to us and Kenny, in that his early results were so good that it kind of forced your hand into giving him more time. Should have just cut the cord in the summer and gone after somebody high profile straight away.

Rafa would probably do a decent job if he was given time. Its amazing how low his reputation is in this country despite his record.

EDIT: HA, didn't realise they'd actually sacked Roberto. Chelsea, what a club.

Finally saw The Master. That was a very, very good film. I'm still trying to process it all.

Both Hoffman and Phoenix were magnificent, two if the best performances I've seen for a while.

Watched that King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters documentary over the weekend. Loads of the people in it were total douchebags, and the subject matter was pretty stupid too, but it was really exciting and had me cheering at the end. Liked it quite a lot, getting into proper documentaries at the moment.

Any people would recommend?
