Alexis is essentially a right footed Robben

Except he's much, much worse

He isn't. I'd prefer to loan him out and see rather than write him off completely but if a good offer came in we'd be silly to refuse it. It's a shame cause I like the geezer and has ridiculous physical attributes and good tek, he's just a braindead footballer.

I think its not a question of beating us, its a question of how many. If its more or less this team then its going to be messy.

You've beat us with Fabio & Rafael as wingers with Gibson & John O'Shea at CM before.

Arshavin was quality. Just a bit of a chubster and was played out of position constantly

Eh, don't really blame Özil in all honesty. Probably our best attack-minded player yesterday until Welbeck came on, which isn't saying much.

Not really his fault that he's surrounded by quite possibly the least effective attacking Arsenal team I've seen in my lifetime. Pretty much the complete opposite to when we beat Barca in 2011.

Cesc, Wilshere, van Persie, Nasri, Arshavin

vs.

Özil, Ramsey, Giroud, Ox, Alexis (majorly off-form Alexis at that)

There's really no contest. Only Özil would get into that 2011 line-up.

I'm not even sure its the best Barcelona side of the past 10 years, but yeah, man, that front three.

If you're comparing it by defence to defence, midfield to midfield etc; then of course. But the front three is easily the best attacking trio ever and would obliterate any team they come across.

If Barca win the CL this season then this side is easily the best ever squad in club footballing history imo.

I honestly doubt they'll care. They just seem to be along for the ride, anything that happens happens.

They can say that for as long as they want, at this stage in the season they'll be wanting the Prem trophy

With Leicester it's more of a mentality thing imo

They've just conceded a 90th min losing goal to title rivals and have two weeks to sit on it, they'd be better off being able to play on the weekned

Of course the League is still so open that anything could happen

Spurs are looking quality. Pochettino's got them playing some good stuff and don't look like they have the fragile mentality they used to have

Wouldn't mind him at Arsenal once Arsene leaves

What about Conte, Simeone or maybe Allegri?

Not really convinced with Conte, same with Allegri, our board would never hire Simeone. Someone like Tuchel is probably our best bet depending on how he does in the next couple of seasons

Unai Emery might be a shout though

I underestimated our ability to be perennial bottlers to be fair.

Although winning 6/7 games as soon as Coq got injured and we had Flamini starting all of them gave me a false sense of belief we could even do it with an utter liability in the side.

The worst thing is, if Leicester do win it, we can't even get rid of Arsene because all the fucking managers we could've got have fucked off somewhere else

Every team in the top 4 should be embarrassed if Leicester win the League

None more so than Arsenal and mainly Arsene Wenger himself trotting out the financial distortion excuse for 10 years yet Leicester win it by spending less than we ever have and Wes Morgan in defence.

*third. We always find a way to balls it up.

Could be surprised this season. Haven't capitalised on any dropped points by Leicester/City all season and I can't even remember the last time we scored a Prem goal

Townsend will definitely be better than Thauvin who cost the same amount of money - and will almost certainly be better than Cabella.

Are you surprised Oxlade-Chamberlain has regressed? Pretty much every Arsenal player has, Wilshere, Walcott and Welbeck all have, as well as the likes of Chambers and Szczesny. Bellerin only became good because he was an accident.

Not really. He hasn't regressed he just hasn't progressed. He needs a loan badly, if Everton bin Ross 'Empty Head' Barkley then Ox would be perfect foil for them, as he's pretty much the exact same player. Wilshere is still an absolutely class footballer and I can't wait till he's back and on that right wing, he's suffered another set-back in training though. Walcott's always been the same since he scored 20+ goals a few years ago but he's more efficient than just being a good player. Welbeck has always been pretty average but every team needs a workhorse like him.

Chambers is okay but just completely bereft of confidence. He's a really tidy player and will definitely be a CB, still time for him yet. Szczesny is an idiot but has been decent for Roma I've heard. Bellerin is still lacking quality defensive-wise but usually with Coquelin and a hard worker in front of him he's good to have in the team.
