Not sure if this is a typo, are you saying they don't show in cups, or you have to wait and see if they'll show?

Yes, I'm not sure where it is exactly, but when you're done, you should check the option "allow licenced kits" or something like that. It should be somewhere near where you access in game editor

It's basically the same procedure. You open kits and colours, delete everything then just add those 5 basic kit items (shirt, short, socks, icon, text). Give them proper colour so that kit colour clash detection works - it is here where the game checks if colours are clashing.
Don't assign any cup competitions or alternative kit numbers, just add item, colour it, and that's it.

This is a bit buggy, so going straight to 3d match after you do that might still not show kits. So you save the game first, exit completely, and after restart it should work.

No. Although obviously you should check that file when in game starting new career.

The problem is following:

In the editor, kits are set up in a way that in various competitions only default kits will be shown. You have to remove everything and then only add this five basic items and assign them proper colours, like this:

Notice how I haven't assigned any competition to kit items.

So the reason you should load SSKCC and edit it is that SSKCC solves many other colours and missing kits issues, and you should really use it and build on it. If you make your colour related changes in editor and save that as separate file and then use it together with SSKCC, I have no idea which file gets advantage if there are conflicting changes. Perhaps alphabeticaly.

Could you please do the following: open editor, load editor data -> load SSKCC file that you downloaded from this thread. Then go to Manchester Utd kits and colour section and make a screenshot of that.

I have the same problem. It’s very annoying. I also started a new game and it didn’t seem to make a difference.

Last night Kettering Town eventually played in their new (away or third?) white kit. Here some pics of the complete kit:

As far as I know they are now using only red as home, and white as away. They're both new models made by new manufacturer Fourteen.
Striped blue-white is old kit which was used at beginning of the season while they were waiting for Fourteen kits. I'm keeping it as third because they played some early games in it.

The pack is now updated with new Kettering white kit as away, and blue-white is now third.

Don't forget to swap kettering_2 with kettering_3 file in SS pack as well.

For careers in progress, you have to manualy add third kit with in game editor. For SS kit to become visible, you only need to add shirt.

You can also do that with normal editor but then you have to start new career.

Yeah I had it installed from the start...don’t worry, I’ve played the game since 07 and used this site since it came into existence so I know what I’m talking about!

At a quick glance,
Man Utd (FA cup, carabao cup, champions league)

Liverpool (FA cup, carabao cup, champions league)
Arsenal (FA Cup)
Bayern (Champions league)
Real Madrid (champions league)
Barcelona (champions league)
PSG (champions league)
Monaco (champions league)
....this is just what I noticed at a glance, there could be a lot more!

As for english clubs, this is a well known problem when alternative kits are assigned in database for various competitions. You have to remove all 5 kit items (shirts, shorts, socks, icons, text field) and then add them again, without assigning them to cup competitions, like this:

You can do that in editor before starting career, or you can use in game editor, although a game restart might be required before you see changes. You can see here Man Utd kits are showing in championship league game:

As for PSG, I can't help you with that since in my game PSG kits are showing just fine in championship league. However, I noticed in my game that very often if you change colors with in game editor, if club has original 3D kits they won't show anymore. Installing custom 3D kits will help.
