Furthermore, blue should be more darker in my opinion. Kit colour should be more navy.
What do you think bolid?

Kit manufacturers usually don't pick colours randomly, they actually use colour codes with exact values, so if it's red, then it's the same on Nottingham Forest, Swindon or Salford. Navy is navy, royal blue is royal blue, and so on.
I have a pallete with main colours that I tested over and over and decided what works best in FM. So when a new blue navy kit comes around, I assume it's same colour code as other navy kits. Slight difference in darkness is more likely to be because of photo editing.
It's really not worth the effort to go deeper into this for a 3rd kit. They're shown in game perhaps twice per season.

This pack is now updated with Midland league. There are 6 leagues now in the pack.
I also added kits for Hashtag United, which seems to be popular above average for a level 10 club. I included config file for it, but you'll have to enter manually their ID. They're not included in original game, so their ID will vary depending on which database you use.

Yeah, that's what's odd. As I said, the home custom kit is fine initially so I know it's not the xml file (and I've done a fair bit of kit/badge/face modding over the years). It's only when I add an away kit with the in-game editor that neither of them work no matter what I do, including renaming the kit pic names and references in the xml to try to force a refresh that way.

If use in-game editor, custom SS kits are removed by default. To see them again, you have to thick "see licenced kits" option.

As with the user above, Hajdučki sin, I am having issues with the 3D kits I've not had in previous iterations of FM. The 3D kits only show up in league matches or cup matches where the opponent has a detailed 3D kit. So, for most league cup and FA cup matches I am playing in the default kit. This sometimes happens in CL, but it appears to be dependent on whether the opposing team has a detailed 3D kit or not.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

This is a game "feature" that occurs with teams that have multiple shirts assigned in editor in kits and colour section. In competitions other than home championship, the game SOMETIMES shows alternative shirts (blanks) for cups.

To fix this, you must use in game editor and remove all kit items that are assigned to any competition. You only leave basic five items that are not assigned to any competitions, like this:

It's hard to say what went wrong since you don't say exactly what is included in "I installed them". So I'll simply list what does it take to see new kits in game and you check what you have missed.

step 1: be sure that team has shirt assigned in editor (kits and colour section). If not, add it in editor, or in careers in progress use in-game editor. Note, if you do that just before 3D match, it may bug. Do that so that you can progress the game for few days before next mach
step 2: add kit files, saved as png to any folder that already has 3d kits.
step 3: in that same folder, find config.xml file and add a text line for your team. Copy the line above and change file name to match exactly the name of your kits, and also change the ID to match your team.
step 4: clear cache and reload UI in game/preferences

Picture is fine quality wise, it's just that the bottom half is missing, and I'd also like better view on sides. Unfortunately it's a complicated pattern that needs to be drawn triangle by triangle so views from all angles are required.

After the latest FM19 update my kits aren't working properly. Purple socks Fiorentina with 3rd team kit?!?! Anybody else see this?

It seems that SI implemented a possibility to combine various kit parts in case of a colour clash. You probably played away against oponent with same socks colour. It's not unrealistic to be honest, that happens often in real life.

As I said in my post - I have the EPL Kits (attachment 2) already loaded.
It's only when I'm viewing the highlights the kits revert back to the original (attachment 1).

Yes, I understand. If you look at editor in kits section, some premier club have multiple shirts (Liverpool as well), for each cup different. So before cup matches, game will revert to defualt blank kit that is assigned for that cup competition and switch back to custom kit afterwards.
It doesn't happen every time, so you might notice some confusing irregularities, like opponent displaying proper kits.

Your kits and colours should look simple like this and there will be no problems:
