Cutters take on images they want to. Ideally, they are cut in the order they are requested, but we all do this in our spare time and sometimes people prefer some requests to others.

 

We have around 2,400 pending images, so the best way to see your requests cut is to do them yourself.

 

This thread contains guidelines for what we're looking for in our cuts in terms of dimensions, snow, collars, face orientation etc. and video tutorials for each element.

 

I would recommend using remove.bg, which is a free online tool which removes the background to an excellent standard, for free and almost instantly.

 

Here's a couple of videos on how to use it, one when combined with Photoshop and another using photopea.com, which is a free online app so close to Photoshop that it has the same shortcuts, layout and icons.

 

If you don't have Photoshop, photopea.com is the tool I would recommend to use to tweak the draft cut produced by remove.bg. It's more powerful and versatile than GIMP and other similar tools.

I know you do this in your spare time, but I just wanted to make sure the images weren't stuck somewhere or something since as I said you all have been speedy in the past. It's more of you being too good earlier than slow now so to speak. 😉 I'll see if I can also learn how to cut in the future.

Hi! How long can an image be left pending before being completed or rejected? Is there some sort of queue system and very many images uploaded right now? I'm asking since I have some images pending since mid december. No pressure! It's just that I've uploaded several images in the past and usually they get reviewed relatively quick so I just want make sure everything's alright. 🙂

The only thing “wrong” with it was that it should be in 180x180, instead of 150x150.

 

Yeah, exactly. I figured I best not try to tamper with the original file. Glad you could enhance the size slightly and fix it, thanks. 🙂

@Richard Groucho Björkman, I appreciate that you went to the trouble of cropping the source and resizing it, but it's generally preferable to upload the full, unadulterated source. For example, in this image, there's no collar so it'll have to be added retrospectively after I cut it 😉

 

Yeah, the problem in this case with the collar is that Oussama has such a long neck in this picture so the 1-3 pixel to chin would be a no go. ^^ I'll add the original pic:

Also, I rotated the original (overall finding a suitable pic for Oussama from the front and with okay quality, no cap on the head etc. took quite some time of scrolling through Stade Tunisiens Fb page ^^) as you can see since he was standing a bit tilted. But good to know, then I'll just upload uncropped pictures in the future. I've just been staring at the 250x250 or 180x180 guidelines. But if the full picture is preferable to cropping then I'll just add them without the cropping. 🙂 Or did you mean just in this case since no collar was showing?

 

I do have another picture with Oussama that actually shows some collar, but the quality is slightly worse. But if that one is better, here it is also. All yours to pic and choose! 🙂

Haha, thanks! I've been a member for quite som time, but never really posted anything (not really sure why this pic in particular made me post either) so I just took a chance with where to put this. I'll be sure to take the correct course of action next time. Cheers!
