Yeah, I did fruit picking for a month or so at one point and we saw a few brown snakes and killed a couple..

If they bite you you're dead within an hour if you dont get antidote from a hospital. Our farm was an hour and a half from the nearest hospital..

Are you honestly comparing the housing and car market to video games?

Houses cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, games cost 40 quid. They're not comparable at all. Houses and cars are assets, games aren't.

That's not true.

Retailers make most of their money through used, because they get a far bigger cut of the revenue than through new.

They make a bigger cut, but they make most their money through new games.

The used game market is about 6-7% the size of the new game market.

Because PC games pretty much always had codes so they were always one use, long before Steam came along. Not to mention people buying PC's aren't buying them from places that sell PC games.

If Sony and MS decide to block used games on their consoles (which wont happen imo) then where are they going to sell the consoles? Cause you sure as hell aren't going to have Amazon, Game, Gamestop, even supermarkets now aren't going to sell a console that blocks a revenue stream that is so profitable for them. Retailers hold all the cards when it comes to used games, not the console makers.

You really think the likes of Amazon and Game would stop selling consoles?

The used market is much, much smaller than the new market. They'll make about 90-95% of their revenue through new games.

If you can't buy pre owned games (Which Sony/Microsoft make no money out of) you'll need to buy the games new.

I actually like the idea, it means that if you lose/break your game, as it's linked to your account, you'll be able to download it again, in the same way as steam.

Both the PS4 and the Xbox will probably have DRM where you need to validate a game online first.

You won't need to be online all the time though.

More than likely, yeah.

They'll probably be out by the end of the year.

I'll be getting the 360. The PS3's controller is terrible compared to the 360's and I doubt it'll change much.
