I think I need to use steam screenshots to get better quality but I don't think I can get screenshots for some of the others.

That's a shame, but as long as you can do it for future updates then it'll be cool.

Do I have to share to the community on imgur because it says I've been sharing too quickly and then each time that happens the cool down is longer.

I don't think so, the spoiler image worked but the image quality is low. I upload them to Imgur, pretty sure my account on there is private so (I think) all you need to do is upload them and keep them uploaded, then link them.

Such an aptly club to start your South American travels at. I love me a Journeyman save! Definitely making me want to start one now! Good luck!

Indeed! Thanks. If you can, do it - can never have too many Journeymans!

Ahh yeah Journey man's journey was an epic read mate!! Glad to see this back up and running.

The average points system is a bit of a head trip at first but easy to understand once you figure it out. Hopefully the start of this journey doesn't end in relegation for you. Am sure you can keep this side up.

Thanks and let's hope so! It makes it seem more complicated that it actually is, the same thing is needed like in any other league - points!

September 2018 Round-up:

Upcoming Fixtures:

https://i.imgur.com/4fc0DfD.png

Having won three from three in August, we were looking to extend our good form into September. A month that began with the second leg of the Top 8 Cup, could we make our first cup final? Also, how would we do in five more Premier Soccer League fixtures? Let's find out.

We secured a spot in the Top 8 Cup final, drawing in the second leg with Maritzburg United to go through on aggregate. Nice beginning to September, which continued into our PSL match with Free State Stars - a team we beat earlier in the campaign in the Top 8 Cup, and we got past them again in the league; winning 3-1, Thembinkosi Lorch was superb. Sadly, we did suffer our opening defeat next time out against Bidvest Wits - a very convincing 2-0 loss. It came in a stupendously busy period, the Wits game fell two days after the FS Stars fixture and two days before our following PSL game - against Chippa United. Crazy.

We hit back from the scheduling and Wits loss by putting four unanswered goals past Chippa Utd. Consecutive 0-2 away wins have since occurred over Maritzburg United and Polokwane City, Thamsanqa Gabuza scored in both encounters that were his only two appearances so far this season - impressive.

Back with my usual Journeyman career, the type of save I absolutely love doing - so much variety and unpredictability to it. I started in Asia on my FM17 career, this time on FM19 I'll be beginning my (hopefully long) journey in North/South America.

Let's just get straight into it.

I've added all the default North and South American leagues, which can be seen below. My initial aim was to start somewhere in South America, preferably in a lower division. You can see the screenshot for the leagues loaded/save set-up below, along with my manager's profile and the managerial style; which is the lowest possible.

https://i.imgur.com/fkqnJXY.png

The job search was the exact opposite of action packed, but it did go on for a long while. I started the save on 1 January 2018 but, despite constantly applying, I didn't get a job interview until 5 May 2018. That came from Uruguay's Sud América, of the Segunda División. I was happy, exactly the sort of level I wanted to begin with. A job offer followed.
https://i.imgur.com/1eBQzar.png
https://i.imgur.com/00DbybE.png

Which, after months of waiting, I was never going to turn down!

https://i.imgur.com/doyt9XV.png
https://i.imgur.com/sYNF2qO.png
I'm the new manager of Sud América! No prizes for guessing which continent they're from. I join the second tier team midway through the 2018 Uruguayan Segunda División season, with the club sat 12th (third bottom) after thirteen fixtures; exactly thirteen games left to play. Relegation is our main threat, which is decided by an average points table in our league. In that, things look bleaker, Sud América are bottom of the table. So points are of the essence. We play three of the top four in my first four fixtures, talk about a baptism of fire!

Below you can see our current situation, along with the squad list.

https://i.imgur.com/sYNF2qO.png
I have no idea how this is going to go, at Sud América or in the save overall. That's all part of the fun, I haven't got any aims whatsoever - what will be, will be (we're not going to Wembley).

Thanks for reading, I appreciate it!

Glad to see you're back at it mate! Orlando Pirates are a good team am sure you'll get them back to the top in no time! On my worldwide journeyman saves I have South Africa loaded just I've never got round to managing there and never managed to grab the African Champions league on my pentagon challenges either.

As a side note, when are you starting your long term journeyman save?

Same here, I've only managed small teams from South Africa - Santos FC are the ones that stick in my memory, got them promoted from the second tier - was an enjoyable spell. As for my Journeyman, I'm thinking either Europe or North & South America. I'll probably go for the latter, particularly South America seems fun to manage in.

July/August 2018 Round-up:

Upcoming Fixtures:

https://i.imgur.com/g0rAv3Q.png

Pre-season with a slight twist. I'm managing Orlando Pirates in the South African top-flight, however my first month or so in charge will feature more than just friendlies. As you can see from the above screenshot, that's what we faced in mid-July but that has since chopped and changed due to other commitments. I ended up cancelling all but one of the friendlies, as competitive fixtures filled our schedule - which, I was absolutely fine with. Here's the fixture round-up:

A successful start to the 2018-19 season in South Africa, not that I'll be getting carried away especially as this is similar to how I started with Guangzhou Evergrande! Three (four including Be The Coach) competitive matches, three competitive victories.

After a friendly win over Maritzburg City, we met Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the cool Be The Coach. For those who don't know, it's an interactive competition in South African football played yearly by Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, with supporters (via a sponsor) picking the matchday squads and in-game substitutions; hence the name. In Football Manager, it's the same except for the line-up/substitutions - the fans picked my matchday squad. So fortunately I can blame the defeat to the Chiefs on them! Even in a friendly trophy, it was still disappointing to lose to our big rivals.

It didn't faze us though, as we followed it with four straights wins; firstly in a friendly with Mozambique's Ferroviário Maputo. The Top 8 Cup got underway on 15 August, it's a tournament where the top eight placed teams from the previous Premier Soccer League season take part to see who is best. We were drawn in the quarter-finals with Free State Stars, subsequently easing past them 3-0. The semi-final first leg followed days later against Maritzburg United, where we scored another three goals (having gone a goal down, though) to secure a comfortable if not tie-securing 3-1 win for the second leg. August ended with our PSL opener, we played and beat AmaZulu.

Pleasing times, but we must keep it up. So, Be the Coach, Top 8 Cup and the PSL have all begun but the Knockout Cup and FA Cup are still yet to get underway, as is our CAF Champions League campaign; which we have to wait until late 2018/early 2019 for (due to its scheduling).

Transfers:

It sure feels good to be able to sign players (looking at you, Chinese Super League!)

As you'll see in the screenshot, the club made a load of signings but only the last two were made by me. I signed a CAM and a FW, both players I know about (not deeply, but enough) from real life: Tshegofatso Mabaso, Bloemfontein Celtic (CAM, South Africa, £60k) & Talent Chawapiwa, Baroka (FW, Zimbabwe, £32.5k). I was going to scout them first, but decided to trust my gut feeling and sign them before the scout reports arrived. So far, so good. I've been impressed with them, both have a goal to their name already.

After the (not so) success of my 'Trip to' save with Guangzhou Evergrande (see here), I've begun a new journey - in South Africa, with Orlando Pirates!

After experiencing all of what Asia had to offer at the top level, I've decided to play in Africa with last year's Premier Soccer League second place side. They've not won the title since 2011-12, so that'll be the aim for season one. However, as I always mention, I am no god at this game whatsoever (shocking, right!), so don't expect anything major.

Still in with more than a good chance at the title. On a side note, does the database you're using have the Coupe de France linked up? Is that what the Mayotte French Cup is? Would be cool to see how far you could get if you reached the Coupe de France.

Shocking to be sacked after that mate! Just find a new job and get going again

I was shocked, I was actually pleased to get into the semi-finals *hits exit match* sacked

Well, at least I wasn't the first person on Susie to be sacked on this years FM.

But, one poor month and you're out of work and that's perhaps an extremely harsh sacking @r96Skinner but I'm sure you'll be able to find another job soon.

The only thing I was going to come first in tbf, just ask the Guangzhou supporters!

Wow, surely that's got to be a bug? Don't think I've ever seen someone get sacked after winning a game before (even if it was on penalties). Would be fun to see you take over another club in the Chinese Super League to exact some much deserved revenge over that Guangzhou board!

Hopefully it is! I've reported it over at the SI forums, I'll see what they say if/when they respond.

WHOA. That escalated quickly bro! Absolutely shocking turn of events, no way you deserved that.

What's next then, are you giving up on this save or are you going for another job?

I was just as surprised myself! I knew the league form was bad but it was salvageable, esp. as we also got to the CFA Cup semi-finals and AFC CL quarters (w/ a good draw ahead).

As for the save, I was toying with the idea of continuing with this file - as I usually always would, to do as @jameo_94 says. However, this time I won't be. Only because these type of saves I want to be having fun (?) with the big clubs on FM. When the full game is released, I'll be doing a Journeyman save - so you'll be able to see me get sacked over and over in that, don't worry!
