Yeah what you need really is something where you could upload 2-3+ images of a ball and it somehow makes it into a 2 image file that we use. Way beyond my capabilities that though

That actually works perfect. If you click the dropdown and choose ‘FM21 ball’, and upload an official ball from FM26, it works perfect

There's 3 file types to each ball from the official files.
Not sure how to get them to work together though.

Attached the premier league ones as an example

_ao files - white ones. they seem to be the panels / lines on the ball.

_no files - seem to be some sort of texture file

_bc file - these are the normal images we're used to seeing

the big realism thing for me is trying to make an image of 2 balls that actually stitch together perfectly but this is massively hard to do with the images of balls that are available online as you usually only get one side of a ball to use

Clubs and players in green mean Male or Female depending on what club you are. 

So if you're managing a men's team, anything to do with women, clubs, players etc. will be in green. I'm also assuming men and women's teams have different ID's so that's why you're getting different badges.

quick question, If I download updates to logos/faces and the new files are named in the old way, will the script just update the new ones I have added or will it rename them all again?

Nothing as of yet. There are pics floating about of different kits that people have made but no full league packs yet

Great work on updating the balls for the new season. Let's see what FM25 brings on what we can do on it to get these balls into the new game. I'm sure it will be a challenge but hopefully figure a way to do it.

I dont think that is the right ball. they seem to be using a green and yellow version of the new puma orbita.

Update for getting winter balls to automatically work correctly

The code that I have used, seems to be working correctly. Note that not every league / competition in the database has winter ball dates assigned (see attachments). The competitions that I tested with winter dates assigned worked fine and the competitions without dates didn't work e.g. Vanarama National League, FA Trophy, Champions League, Scottish Premier League. Once the pre-game editor is released for FM24, I will have a look and see which leagues have winter dates assigned. The only solutions would be to edit the database beforehand to add winter league dates or just manually change your ball in the ‘balls’ folder.

I have also found that there are 4 types of balls that are used. @bartdude this may be the reason it never worked all the time before and the winter ball dates too. See below:

• Standard Ball - The ball that is used outside of the winter ball dates.
• Winter Ball - The ball that is used within the winter ball dates.
• Knockout Standard Ball - Ball that is used in a competition knock out rounds. E.g. Champions League Quarter Final. (I tested this one and the Standard ball did no work but I added code for the knockout round and it worked as normal)
• Knockout Winter Ball - Ball that is used in a competition knockout round but it falls within the winter ball dates.

I will keep testing and hopefully have something done soon. Nice one!!

not a colchester fan mate but looking at all their highlight vids on their YT channel, they haven't played in a red kit. 

seems to be blue and white stripes at home and yellow for away

I've been looking the in the Editor for FM23 and the attached images show the only leagues that have Winter Ball Start and End dates.

I will try and add as many winter balls as I can for these leagues for people to test out if they want to. 

I will try to get it done over the weekend for anyone who wants it.

I have just tested my method out in Ligue 1 using the code I put in the previous comments. First game of the season used the white ball correctly and then I simmed to January and the winter ball was being used correctly.

I think what I will do is create another ‘balls’ folder and place it in the alts with the code for all comps using 2 balls and if anyone wants to use it and test it then all good. I'll get it done as soon as I can and go from there.

I have literally just figured out how to do this!

So using Ligue 1 as an example, in my ‘balls’ folder, I have 2 saved balls - no pun intended haha

File names are ‘ligue 1’ and ‘ligue 1 w’. The one with the w was a yellow balls. I added the code below to the config file and it changed the dark orange winter ball to the yellow one I had saved. I obviously need to test it more but I think it does.

thanks mate. see attached. i've added them into the download zip file too but placed them in the alts folder. just make sure to change the name of them when moving over.

possibly mate yeah. you could always try changing the winter ball colour to white in preferences>customise skin colour.
