#159635 Rise to Glory!
Sheriff Skacel
Edit; Consider this a hostile takeover of your career.
Edit edit; Obviously this post was meant for my own career and I got them mixed up, regardless, you have some big transfer plans in place, don't change too much at once though. Good luck with it.

Gonna see what the scouts have for MCs and what the player search throws up.

If nothing else we have goal scoring talent knocking about.
If Gligic came back from loan tomorrow he'd come straight in as my third highest valued player. I signed him as a 15 year old from Dinamo for 500k, bargain.

Co-ownership deals can be daunting at first, but I definitely think they have their use. They're a good way to raise some funds and also get game time for players who may be just below the level you are looking for. With games at another club, players who maybe only have two star or two and a half star PA could develop into decent backups for you and could be brought back for a cheap fee.
With youngsters it is all about just finding your own development method, I don't usually start paying proper attention to my youth team until three or four seasons in. After that I take a keen interest in who is coming in, who gets loaned out, etc

Yep, I often use it when I'm managing absolutely abysmal clubs. Like Rob says lots of things go into the search, for example, a players reputation might not fit the preset for your club, but other factors could swing in your favour meaning he would be willing to join your club.

Can't complain, got the third weakest team in the draw, hadn't even seen Partizan coming through their group. We'd have mauled them.

Only blip was the Barca game, but that was totally my fault, I went into the game with too many changes, played a very weakened side to keep us fresh.
Across the groups Belenenses flopped and finished 4th, but Porto and Benfica managed to finish 2nd in their groups. In an ideal world I get Dinamo in the next round, want to try and avoid PSG and AC Milan.

We've managed to qualify to the CL knockouts with relative ease and the domestic cups have been navigated up until this point as well. After 10 games we are five off the pace with one game in hand, not too worried about that as its not Porto who are racing ahead, its Belenenses. I have full faith in them buckling.

How you been treating the young players in Italy? Been letting them go out on co-owns and loans? Its only on FM14 that I've truly been won over by co-ownership deals. I had a few seasons with Torino and I'd make a point of trying to get some of my youngsters out on co-own deals to try and help them develop over a two year period.

So far the flat three attack has been creating a hell of a lot of chances, pushing for over 30 shots a game, the majority of which are usually on target. Could be time to test her in a higher profile game.

Great way to prove our doubters (me) wrong. Barca didn't even get a shot in, Europe is on notice. THE IBERIAN POWERHOUSE RISES ONCE MORE.

That is unless the Israeli FA deem relegation too little of a punishment for failure and command that all relegated clubs and clubs in the second division shall not be allowed to scout.

I don't think it has anything to do with finances, I just think it might be a bug due to the coding of the Israeli league. If I remember correctly the Israeli setup is weird for points and has a split, so this could be causing some sort of problem.
I'm just holidaying a season now to see what happens when teams get relegated and promoted.

There's nothing you can do about it sadly, your best bet is to go onto the official SI forums and report it as a bug.

- Poor transfer business, 27m for Fellaini, never a Man Utd quality player and not what they needed, £37m for Mata who again wasn't what the team needed
- Tactical transition, he's never really played with AMCs, especially in the Mata mould. Hard transition to make for him, and obviously the mentality step up from being Everton manager
- Dressingroom discontent, Rooney contract, rumours about RvP, etc
- Ageing squad, Fergie got out at the right time
- Poor squad, Man Utd only have a handful of players who could get into other European elite teams
I don't believe fully in it being the weight of expectation in replacing Fergie, some have said that any manager would have struggled, I don't believe that. Pep or Mourinho would have had Man Utd in the title hunt this season, and its not too ludicrous to suggest Man Utd could have appointed one of them.
The fact of the matter is Moyes wouldn't have got a look in at Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City, yet he got the Utd job. He was never good enough, so its senseless to expect him to takeover a title winning side in need of a rehaul and challenge for the title. He's had no experience of challenging for honours but he's walking into a club that demands that from the off. Its like signing a mid-table striker who gets 15 a season and asking him to go out and get 40 goals a season in a title winning side.

I'd never even thought of doing that, great wee tip. Gonna use that myself, I love loving back at how things were at my club, at the end of every season I usually make a note of finances, the wage bill, ticket prices, season ticket holders, etc to see how they change. That save idea is better though, more depth.

Only one way to get better on FM14, and that's through trying, failing and learning. But aye, I prefer the simplicity of the FM13 tactical system, FM14s is too extreme.

The ages of players in vary from 15 years to 19 years, most of them won't even play a game for us, but its worth the risk. My U19 team just lost their first game in 86 matches, so we blitz the youth leagues.
The game is getting slower and slower because of all the shite retained, would bloody love to play this for another fifty seasons but it just isn't possible. Things are winding down.
