I really don't understand when managers slate other's tactics after they've just been beaten by them. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Rodgers actually came out and said "We were the only team trying to win" - well if you look at it that way Chelsea have just beaten you without even trying. Go figure.

Ive not seen the game but from what ive read if Gerrard hadn't slipped Chelsea could still be playing now and not score?

We used to do it in Europe when we had a lead to protect but Mourinho seems to do it when its 0-0, its pretty baffling at times.

Missed the game today but its weird i'm not actually overly bothered, in Citys hands now but if you'd have told me we'd be close to winning the league with 2 games to go id have bitten your hand off so cant complain even if we only come 3rd.

Im not even sure thats really the case, i just think the decisions for the bigger clubs tend to be more important so they tend to be remembered more than one in a game between say Newcastle/Southampton.

It looks fine, i'm happy to see were just going to increase the capacity rather than build a new stadium. Especially seeing as the stadiums proposed were only 60K capacity so this is the best of both worlds, also wont cost nearly as much.

It's purely down to the fact the FA offer no help to any of the English clubs in their big European games, unlike in Spain etc. Atletico and Real both were able to change their weekend fixtures to allow them to be ready for the first leg. Atletico opted to play their match on the Friday, while Real opted to not play at all. Because of the FA's lack of co-operation in doing similar, naturally Mourinho will look to rest players if he believes the CL is a more important fixture and one they're more likely to win- and rightly so.

I think you'll find those who are ineligible/suspended for the 2nd leg vs Atletico will play against Liverpool, alongside some possible fringe players. He'll possibly rest a few key players and that may mean a couple of younger players come in. I don't see it being anything more than that. Won't be an entire "second eleven" played.

Like you say there are players who are ineligible/suspended so the team wont be much different from your regular starting lineup, aside from the players who are out injured it'd pretty much be the strongest team you could put out regardless.

Probably bollocks but apparently theres a clause in his contract that means United will only pay 1 year of his contract if United fail to qualify for the CL.

Might be as simple as your chain crossing over, try to avoid being in the big ring on the front and the largest sprocket on the back wheel and vice verse. Basically try keep the chain as straight as possible.

I can't see any big club using him any differently and I don't think he'd take the step down.

This was always the problem with RVPs signing, I'd rather we sold him.

Could see him at a team like Napoli though, wouldn't really be a step down given how this seasons gone for United

Normally id say stick it out with a new manager because he'll have signed players and you'll just have a miss mash of different managers players but its kind of a good thing you've only signed Mata and Fellaini, stops that being an issue. He's got to go at the end of the season surely?

Yeah but a mistake against City is worth far more than a peno save against Stoke (for example). He reminds me of Barthez purely for his mistake-proneness yet ability to make top class saves

A mistake that doesn't cost you points is less important than a save that saves them, doesn't matter who they come against.

Trouble is its easier to remember the mistakes than it is to remember the times he's saved us

He makes the odd mistake but he's probably saved us more this season than he's cost us, he'll probably make a couple of brilliant saves now if the rest of the season is anything to go by
