This report was supposed to start with transfers, but since the administration allowed us exactly 0 euros for transfers due to the financial situation, this column will remain empty.

Marco Asensio's contract with Real expires in the summer, so I offered him a contract, but, as expected, he chose City.

As for outgoing transfers, there was no significant work there either. Bayern sent 60 million euros for Brandt, I refused it and set the price at 80 million, but a new offer did not arrive.

JANUARY

We did a solid job in January. Since there were no transfers for this season, the focus is on defending second place in the championship and winning the cup. In January, we had 4 away games and only one home game. We celebrated on all away games, including the one in the cup against Bochum, while at home we drew against Augsburg.

FEBRUARY

In February, we again achieved good results in the Bundesliga, and we also played in the Europa League. In the first game, we beat Sociedad 3-0, although they dominated possession. The second leg started badly for us and we lost 2-0 after only 20 minutes. But in the second half we deservedly score 2 goals and pass on.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

We have some interesting matches in the next two months. Our biggest focus will definitely be on the cup and the Europa League. In the quarter-finals of the cup, we have a difficult visit to Augsburg, but it is clear that we are the favorites in that game. I think we are also favorites against Lazio in the Europa League. As for the Bundesliga, the first game in April is a visit to Bayern, where we will either complicate the championship or Bayern will practically win the title.

NOVEMBER

The first half-season is over. It was very long and difficult, and our roster is still not deep enough to withstand such a pace and schedule.

In November, we beat Tottenham and thus at least washed away the bitter taste after relegation to the Europa League. I wanted us to get all 3 wins in the last 3 rounds of the Bundesliga, but we only got 4 out of 9 points. We beat Bochum, drew with Wolfsburg and lost to Gladbach.

BUNDESLIGA

In the Bundesliga, we are currently in second place, with 7 points less than Bayern. If we had avoided unnecessary defeats against Koln and Gladbach, we would have been in a better situation, but even now the fight is not over yet.

DFB POKAL

Bayern was eliminated in the second round of the cup by Augsburg, so that makes us the first favorites for this trophy. There are still tough opponents, but if we are on par we can win the cup.

UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE

We drew Real Sociedad in the knockout phase of the European League. We are favorites in that match, but there are a lot of great teams in this year's competition and it will be a real success if we manage to win this competition.

FINANCES AND PLANS

Finances don't look the best and the management still hasn't allocated us a transfer budget, but it's clear that we really need new players. In defense, we need one new player in each position, in midfield as well. If I don't get enough budget, I will try to bring in someone through loans.

The next report will follow after January and the end of the transfer period. Stay tuned...

Two very long and difficult months are behind us. Let's go in order, we will start with match reports in September.

SEMPTEMBER

Although the Champions League started in September, we opened the month with a good home win against Hoffenheim 4-0. Then followed a visit to London as part of the first round of the Champions League. Although we played well, Tottenham won 3-1. After that away game, we had another demanding away game waiting for us. In Leipzig against Red Bull. With a bit of luck, we get an important 2-1 victory. In the second round of the Champions League, Real Madrid arrived in Dortmund and routinely beat us 2-0. We closed the month with a derby against Schalke at home and won 3-1.

OCTOBER

In October, even more difficult matches awaited us. We open the month with a completely shocking defeat in Koln 5-1. Then followed a series of victories without conceding a goal. First, we beat Red Zvezda 2-0, and Bayern in the derby with the same result, which took us to the top of the Bundesliga table. In Belgrade, we beat Crvena zvezda 5-0, and by the same score we defeated Hertha in the second round of the cup. Another victory followed at home against Stuttgart, this time 2-0. In Madrid, we had the thankless task of beating Real to stay in the fight with Tottenham for second place in the group. We did not succeed, and we will continue our European journey in the Europa League. At the end of this difficult month, we had an away game in Frankfurt, the players were tired and we lost 3-1.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

In November, we have a prestige game against Tottenham, and it has no importance for the results. 3 more important games than that will be against Bochum, Wolfsburg and Gladbach, where the goal is to win 9 points and continue the fight for the German championship title.

AUGUST

August is behind us, and we played a total of 5 games, and achieved 3 wins and 2 draws. We started the season with a convincing 9-2 victory in the cup, and we also opened the Bundesliga with a convincing 5-0 home win against Leverkusen. Despite a good game against Freiburg and Hertha, we won only 2 points in those two games. We won 1-0 against Werder at home, although we deserved a bigger victory based on the game.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Karim Adeyemi is our first player of the month, scoring 4 Bundesliga goals in 4 goals.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

September will be difficult for us. We are not in ideal shape in the Bundesliga, and the Champions League is also starting, where in the first two games we are visiting Tottenham in London and welcoming Real Madrid. The fourth team in our group is Crvena Zvezda from Belgrade.

As for the Bundesliga, we have to score two wins against Hoffenheim and Schalke, and at least a draw against Leipzig if we don't want Bayern to break away with a bigger point difference.

HK - season 1(22/23) season report 3/3

Our first season in Iceland is over. It was very successful, but regret remains because we were very close to the greatest success in the history of the club. So let's go.

CHAMPIONSHIP

In the championship, we did what we wanted, and we won it in a very convincing way, without defeat. In 20 games, we achieved 16 victories and 4 draws, and entered the first league in a dominant manner.

CUP

In the cup, we missed a great opportunity to achieve the greatest success in the club's history. In the last report, you saw that we made it to the semi-finals of the cup, and then we went one step further.

In the semi-final we defeated Leiknir 2-1, and won a place in the final. A club from the second league, Fjolnir, was waiting for us there. It was a great opportunity to win the trophy and qualify for the European Conference League, but unfortunately we lost 0-1. Thus, Fjolnir, which finished the season in fourth place in the second league, will play in the European competition next season.

PLANS AND FINANCES

Now we have a transition period. We will certainly bring in some new players, while we will get rid of some old ones. Since the finances are not so great, the focus will be on free agents and maybe some loan.

That would be all from the first season, and we will hear from you again when the transfer window and the League Cup competition are over. Stay tuned...

HK - season 1 (22/23) report ⅔

We're in the middle of the season, so it's time for our second report.

The championship and main cup competitions are underway, so let's see how we stand.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Iceland's second league is called Inkasso-Deild Karla and 11 clubs are competing this season. It is played in two rounds, that is, 20 games. After 10 games played, we are in first place, with 8 wins and 2 draws. We have a big 8 point lead, or 9 ahead of Grott, who has a game in hand.

MAIN CUP

The main cup is called Molkjurbikarin, and we started our performance in the second round with a convincing 4-0 win against the lower league side Aegir.

In the third round, we drew the first league club Keflavik, which we eliminated after a penalty shootout.

In the fourth round, it's a real spectacle, we play against Iceland's biggest club Valur at home. After 90 minutes, the score is 1-1, and in overtime we score 2 goals and advance to the quarterfinals.

In the quarter-finals, we have a duel at home against the current champion of the first league, Vikingur. It was another uncertain match, and we won 2-1 and booked our ticket to the semi-finals.

Of the other news, I don't think there is anything worth mentioning, especially not the terrible youth intake preview. That is why you will hear me at the end of the season, in the third report of this season, where I hope to bring news about winning the second league. Stay tuned...

HK - season 1 (22/23) season report ⅓

Hi everyone and welcome back to my FM23 career with Icelandic club HK.

Since the transfer period has passed, it's time for our first report. Let's start with the transfers.

TRANSFERS

There were no outgoing transfers, and these two that you see were done before I took over the club. During the games we played, I judged that we lacked depth in defense, so I brought in two defenders, namely one stopper and one right back.

Oboroakpo is a very high-quality stopper for this level and he will surely be of great use to us in our team for promotion to the first league. Esieme is also a quality player who can play all positions in defense, and he will also be very useful for us.

DEILDABIKAR

The Icelandic League Cup is called Deildabikar and is played by 22 teams (3 groups of 6 teams and one group with 5 teams). We started the competition in group B, where we were joined by 3 first-division clubs and 2 second-division clubs. With an excellent game, we achieved 4 wins and one draw and thus qualified for the semi-finals of the league cup. in the semi-finals, we were eliminated on penalties by the first league team Stjarnan. It was an excellent competition for us, which showed that we are the main favorites to win the second league.

That would be all for this first short report. Now we have the championship ahead of us, where we want to justify our role as favorites with a strong start, and we will meet again at the half-season with, I hope, good news. Stay tuned...

Hello everyone and welcome to my long term and final FM23 save that should last until the release of the new version of the game.

I've been looking for inspiration for a new save for a long time and I found it in the north of Europe, more specifically in Iceland, which is why this career is called Life in the North.

The club I chose for this save is called HK. They currently compete in Iceland's second division, and they play their matches at Korinn Stadium, which has a capacity of 1564 seats. The specificity of this stadium is that it is completely covered, that is, matches are played under the roof due to the extreme cold in Iceland.

My first goal will be to promote HK to the first Icelandic league, considering that they are among the strongest clubs in the second league. Once we establish ourselves in the first division, the aim will be to win it, considering that HK has never won the first division or the Icelandic Cup. After that, we will work on a European breakthrough.

For now, I think I will write reports 3 times per season - the first after the main transfer period (in Iceland it is over the winter), the second report halfway through the season, and the last report at the end of the season.

In the reports, I will include the most important things that happened during the season, from matches, through transfers to finances and other important things.

That would be all for this first report for now, so without further ado, I'll get down to sorting out the team and tactics, and I'll get back to you at the end of the transfer period. Stay tuned...
