That's quite good, considering you've started out with what looks like a relatively hard source image (perhaps you could upload the source so we can compare?) I suggest starting out with simpler haircuts too while you're still learning. Can I ask which cutting technique(s) you used?

There are hardly any hair details, especially at the top, but it's hard to say if that's because of the source image. The side of the neck could do with a bit of clone stamping to give them a less fuzzy look. Finally, care should be taken to avoid the chicken-neck effect and so all cuts should include a little bit of collar. At the same time, the ideal cut only contains 2-3 pixels beneath the chin. Since in this source, the guy looks like he has a longer neck than usual, this would be quite difficult to achieve naturally. This video & this post displays a simple technique of how to cut close to the chin and still display a bit of the collar.

And of course, the cut should be 250x250.

That said, this is all relatively minor stuff which is quite easily sorted out and it's a very solid start indeed Looking forward to seeing more of your work and I'd be more than happy to give you pointers and tips on how to improve your cuts

Of course, should've uploaded before for comparison. I just used the clone stamp after getting rid of most of the background through 'remove.bg'. Then just played a tiny bit with the contrast, that's really about it. Was too scared to go too in depth just in case I lost the little detail I had from the original source.

No worries at all, I did read that about the collar, will be sure to include that from now on. I must of saved over my original because I did have it at 250x250, that's my bad, I've re-attached my attempt and the original source.

Trying to make another run at cutting. I finally got a hold of a full version of Photoshop, and this is my first attempt. Obviously not perfect, but would appreciate any feedback as I have some free time at the moment and would love to make some headway into some cuts before the release of FM20

Hi all,

Firstly, HUGE thanks to all the creators out there, you guys do an amazing job!

I wish to make a request for Ligue 2's kits. Happy to find all the relevant pics and to place into a folder/zip to download. Just want to clarify what's needed? Would a home, away and third pic of the team suffice? Or do you need extra images, such as the team logo and sponsor logo? So for example, for Paris FC, would I be fine having the following images named in the folder....Paris_Home, Paris_Away, Paris_Third, Paris_Logo and Paris_Sponsor? And then just repeat this for every other team?

Had a go at another player, an improvement on the current Megapack picture.

I am relatively happy with the cut. It does however have quite a green tinge to it due to the picture source. Any advice on where I can improve? I do wish to become a 'cutter' for images on here so all feedback is well appreciated.

Attempt four: Tried making it darker but it still appears dull in game and can see white/blue tinge snow I can't seem to get rid of.
