Is this name fix update due to the game update that was released today? 

I guess they weren't kidding when they said “early next week”. It's downloading as I'm writing this.

Thanks for the update. I'll probably wait a couple of days, as I just read that SI is planning an update containing database changes early next week. 

From that post, I get the idea there'll be database updates all the way to the winter update, due to the licensing issues. This year will be messy.

Any plans for the next update? Just wondering if I should start a new save with the current one or just wait a bit if it's within a week or so.

I'm starting to believe there's a relation between the crash and the time without saving. If I spend more than 3 or 4 in-game days without saving, I get a crash. If I keep saving every couple of days, I can play a while crash free.  

It depends. It crashes after a few in-game days, but it seems to crash less if I save the game. For example, it crashed twice in the same place, but I could get over it after saving. Spent another week, and it crashed. Tried again, same thing. Saved before the crash and I could get over it. Not sure if it was a lucky coincidence, though.

I've already provided mine. They initially blamed sortitoutsi's license fix and told me to start a new save without it, but forwarded it to the dev team when I insisted it had been stable for 2 in-game months.

5th crash in the past hour of game. It's getting annoying.

I've submitted all the reports to SI. The beta seemed to be a lot more stable, only had one crash.

I think what he meant is that there was an FM update released today, but the licensing file wasn't updated.

Judging from the update content's, though, I don't think it's required. The change notes indicate that it's for crossplay support.
