Yeah your quite right about the team actually, performing much better than they have been irl. The stats of some players have been quite generous too.. First time in a few years I've been happy to have as many non-Scottish players in my team. The route to Europa has been very eventful, beating big names such as Bronby and Galatasary - just got Malmo in my way and the group stages now.
Lets see eh

to be honest i think any scottish football fan would agree alot more was expected off rangers this year not necessarily a challenge as such but more to cement 2nd as theirs again

Reaching the group stages of the Europa League shouldn't be an issue depending on the draw(s) you get and they can't do any worse than real life.

I'm agreeing though that it's unrealistic to expect them to win the Scottish Premiership immediately especially with how annoyingly good the Celtic squad currently is and even the Aberdeen squad is probably slightly better but runners-up should be the minimum from the board and those expectations are what's putting me off actually starting a save with Rangers mysel.

the squad certainly performs better on FM than irl at least thats something

Sticking to the FM tradition of being Rangers as my first save.. the board have some unrealistic targets this year eg. make group stages of europa, win the league.
Hope this doesn't lead into an early sacking.. well see

the best part of that is that was their genuine targets under that nutter pedro good luck

My backing story is created, the save itself will be launched on Friday and hopefully can experience some countries that many don't regularly visit on the default DB

There will be an update to the game on the day and your current save will still be playable, it is probably better to start a new game to make sure all the changes come into effect but its not essential.

I'm just too impatient to get through the first couple of seasons, once I'm settled at a club and know all the players I'm fine its just getting to that point that stops me.

i struggle to invest my time into building a team and then just moving on

Fresh save with Stalybridge although i'll have to reload until they become available in Conference North.
In days gone by (when in League 2) I would always start as Swansea but the Premier League is not my idea of fun on this game at all

why not get one of the expanded league databases ??

Would love to have the time and patience to do a long term unemployed save but can't see me doing that, will probably start again with Arsenal and try to keep it going as long as possible.

i find it difficult to really get into unemployment saves because i like building a young squad to have a legacy

Very curious to see what people are planning to do post beta are you going to stick with the same save or start anew ive not completely decided yet hopefully they fix the tediuos tactics screen in game that takes a few extra clicks before being good lmao

You mean when you go into a match? Have you tried changing the graphics to 2D pitch and see if it works then?

it crashes on the tactics screen pre match tried 2d and nothings working re installed drivers ETC but nothing is working by the support fourms alot of people are having this issue

What error does the crash dump give?

In the Beta I've had a quick go as Celtic, funnily enough, but not got very far.

Anytime i load passed the tactic screen the game crash dumps havent been able to play my journey man save since the update iam having FM withdrawls
