It shouldn't be hours, unless your PC/Laptop is very old or limited in terms of CPU/RAM availability. I use the history file, and load around 60 leagues all in, and it can take about 15 minutes to get from the First Screen in FM to ‘Start Game’ (or whichever is the name of the final button when creating a new game), while it processes things at each stage, and then another 15 minutes to load the actual new game.

now it's working 🙂 nothing much to do with caledar? the game starts in 2023 as rthe vanilla game

Are you using the the sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Player History.fmf file? Based on your screenshot I think it is probably like that you are. If so, you can expect this to take a long time to be processed/loaded - specifically this initial step of ‘Loading database’ that appears to take a long time to progress beyond a very small amount of the progress bar. The file itself adds 3,000,000+ database records and causes the initial loading to take a lot, lot longer. On the plus side, this is a one-off time investment - once the game is loaded, there is no degraded performance nor longer period of time to save/load a saved game.

The options for this file are either to (a) wait it out or (b) simply not use it. What you will lose by not using it is simply that player histories are not included that reflect the last two real-life years of performance. There is no massive gameplay implication - it is more about immersion and having players have the right statistics around games played/goals scored/clubs they have played for.

If you are not using this file, then it would be good to get a screenshot of your ‘editor data’ folder and/or the enabled files, so we can see if there is some other cause. One other common cause of the game not loading is overlapping ‘dynamic data’ (but this would only be a factor if you are using the enhanced data update).
