Bought McCarthey for 14m or something? Kone for 7m?

I'm not entirely sure, but we've sold quite a few players over the years without really reinvesting it in the squad. Plus the increased revenue from the TV deals could of helped. But I'm not complaining, It's about time

The sad thing is if Moyes was still at Everton, we wouldn't have Barry, McCarthy or Lukaku, and Stones would never of been given a chance and Neville would still be playing in midfield.

Would love to know what the Mirrors agenda with Everton is tho.

Speaking of Everton, I'm surprised they've been quiet in the window so far, considering they are in the EL next season.

Martinez has been in Brazil up until a couple of days ago, on his arrival Barry is now signed and we've been linked with a lot of players tbh. Apparently we're waiting for Lukaku to make his mind up, the deal is looking to be a permanent and break our record transfer fee. Demba Ba linked on loan,Cleverly would be an interesting one. I'm not worried about the signings, they'll happen soon enough. Also close to signing MK Dons youngster Brendan Galloway.

I'll bet my left bollock that a lot will come out of this. He bit someone in the premier league, a global watched sport and was hammered. He's just done the same thing AGAIN, this time at the biggest sporting event on the planet pretty much watched by everyone around the world. FIFA are going to absolutely hammer him.. I'd be lost for words if they didn't. This is his third offence for doing the same thing as well. Clearly doesn't learn and a repeat offender. FIFA will want to throw the book at him, show the world that they wont stand for this sort of behaviour, in so setting an example to the children watching that it is wrong and will be punishable...

So it looks like Lampard is set to captain the side tomorrow. Why is he even in Brazil with the team baffles me, never mind actually playing and captaining the side, nothing against Lampard he was a top class midfielder in his day, but what's happened to Lampard happens to all ageing players, there legs go and they become very slow and vulnerable, that's why I wouldn't of even took him, get a back bone Roy and start a fresh young squad, and drop Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Johnson, Baines, Jags, and play Wilshere, Smalling, Jones, Shaw, Sterling, Barkley. some of these youngsters will be around for the future and they need valuable World Cup experience.
